Listen to the song at the side -----------------> It's a really sad song, deep and touching and it reminds me strongly of Kaden and Veronica ------------------------------->

CHAPTER 9: UNWANTED FEELINGS AND MEMORIES

 Veronica Brooks' POV

It was almost perfect. The perfect way to win him back. He couldn't say no to my body now, could he? Veronica Brooks smirked as she watched Kaden Malfoy nonverbally attack his opponent in his class.  She smiled as he helped his opponent up, the silver cross necklace dangling from his chest. He still wore her necklace!

The new teacher, Professor Curtridge, a young man with a light-hearted smile, dark brown hair and some stubble along his jaw and such blue eyes, called for the end of class.

Veronica gave one more nonverbal attack to her opponent, Salena Silvers - a long-haired, wavy brunette witch with deep hazel eyes containing brown and green flecked about, and a sort of deep-cut scar running from behind her right ear and down to her right collarbone.

Salena's body instantly went limp and fell with a loud thud.

Veronica slid her wand up the sleeves of her Slytherin robes and smirked.

"You didn't need to do that, you know." An all too familiar voice sounded into her right ear. Veronica whipped her head around and stared long into those deep emerald green eyes she had missed so much.

She opened her mouth to speak, while letting her murky eyes trail over Kaden. "But I did. And she deserved it after sneaking a cheat spell at me, last time." Veronica snuck a look at Salena on the floor, her friend Miranda Greene trying to heave Salena up on the desk in her body-bound state.

'You haven't changed a bit, Nica."

Nica.

He used his old nickname for me! Veronica thought giddily.

"Of course, I haven't. What about you? Have you changed?" She asked, fluttering her eyelashes at him slowly, a flirty smirk coming upon her face.

Kaden situated himself on the desk in front of Veronica. "From when we broke up a year ago? Yes, I think I have. I now know better not to repeat myself and get in with the likes of you and your slutty friends." He said nonchalantly.

Veronica's green-blue eyes widened and her eyebrows deepened. Her mouth popped open. "What?! I'm not a slut! How could you say that of me?" She whispered, hurt.

Turning his head around, Kaden looked at her disbelievingly. "You, not a slut?" He let out a humourless laugh before fixing his eyes that had turned stone-cold onto his ex-girlfriend. "Oh please, when we were going out, you were two-timing me with my best friend!"

"That was an accident!"

"Oh, so he just tripped over you and ripped your shirt off in the process of falling down, and then you, being the oh-so helpful friend helped him up and decided to say sorry to him by wrapping your legs around him and pushing your tongue down his throat while he felt you up in your bra and skirt? Did I mention that it happened when I just walked into the room? Yeah, I find that very hard to believe it was an accident."

His words were icy cold and his face held no emotion. Only his eyes betrayed how utterly upset and hurt and angry he was.

Veronica bit her lip and had the grace to look ashamed of herself. "I--I'm sorry. I was stupid back then, I was a stupid, horny teenager who didn't know any better than fulfilling her needs."

"That's what everyone says. They were stupid, they didn't know any better -- and they're all liars."

Kaden couldn't look at Veronica's face anymore, not without bringing up mixed, unwanted emotions he wanted to keep buried deep. He looked around the classroom, aware that their Defence Against the Dark Arts professor and class had moved out of the classroom, onto a new class or free period and that they were alone.

"Kaden, it was a stupid mistake. If we can't be together, can we at least be friends?" Veronica's lip quavered with an exaggerated tremble. She didn't want to be friends, she wanted to be with him.

Vereonica couldn't stand anyone else being with her Kaden. Hes is mine  - no one else's.

Kaden swung his head back to look at the reddish-brown haired witch before him and after a moment's consideration, he agreed. "Fine, but only as a friend." He reminded her as Veronica's eyes swam with happiness and determination to win him back.

He hopped off Veronica's desk and ran his hand through his golden hair in frustration. Without word, he left the classroom, leaving Veronica alone, smirking.

And if I can't become his girlfriend, then I'll just have to worm my way into being Friends with Benefits.

He really can't resist my body...

Wow, that was incredidbly short. I think. Anyways, this was more of a filler than a chapter but nonetheless I uploaded. Next update will be soon, I hope and if it's not sooner, it will be later.

By the way, BYElenalol, your character is in here and so is Amzaza's Character although I made it Taylor's mum. However Taylor is going to be in the sequel I sorta have planned.
