"Do you understand?" asked Brian as he lied down on the bed, covered in bandages, "You shouldn't speak of anything that happened when we were on the island to anyone else. Nothing about Yuri. Nothing about us."

Carly and Robert nodded in agreement, understanding the consequences if they were to disobey the order of the gods.

"So.." asked Adrian weakly, in another bed with bandages, "During the 'Bear Attack,' did Yuri die?"

"She's definitely dead," replied Kaleb, who just woke up, "There's no way she could've lived through Brian's mind control."

"He's right," replied Brian, "I didn't even need to say my code word for her to get released from my mind control. This means that she's no longer living."

"So what do we do now?" asked Styx, lying on the hospital bed.

"Well, we are on our way home," said Neos, staring at his arm cast, "Once we get back to Silver Leaf, I'm guessing we can just return back to our normal lives without interference."

"Wait," said Carly, "Does that mean you guys won't be coming back to Silver Leaf High School for the second semester?"

"That's probably the case," replied Jak, staring at the ceiling, "Our mission to defeat the traitor god has been accomplished. We have no true reason for us to stay at Silver Leaf High School. We can probably say that we transferred to another school over winter break."

The room was filled with disappointment. The gods' mission was finally fulfilled, but they had to leave.

"Where's Jazz and Val?" asked Adrian, trying to find another topic to distract them from the sadness.

"They're in the ICU part of the ship," replied Jak, "Intensive Care Unit. They suffered the most severe injuries. The knife wound in Jazz's back and the multiple injuries that Val had to sustain were too much."

"Alright, well," said Carly, "Hopefully you guys recover soon. We're going to explore the rest of the ship."

"Alright stay safe," replied Adrian.

Carly went up to Robert, who had went to the guardrails of the ship. He looked over at the clear blue sea, noticing tiny specks of fish floating around through the waters.

"Are you thinking the same thing?" asked Carly, breaking the silence.

"Yeah.." said Robert, "Kaleb cheated in his physical exams! What a bastard! I swear I'll beat him next time!"

Carly hit Robert in the head, "You dumbass. That's not the point. There were literal gods with insane powers, and the chance of us dying if we were near would've been high! It's a wonder that Val and Adrian even survived! Not only that, but even the gods were seriously injured."

"Carly," said Robert in a serious tone, "They barely made it out alive, right? All of them? Even Jazz?"

"Yeah.."

"I wonder if luck was on their side. What were the chances that all of them would survive?"

"Pretty low, I guess. Considering that Yuri was a very powerful god who could do almost anything."

"I'm just wondering. Are they fated to survive? Adrian and Val? Did some otherworldly force keep them living? Do they have another purpose in life other than just this?"

"What are you talking about, Rob?"

"It's just a weird feeling. Somethings gonna go wrong soon. In my beliefs, if a person was to live after a serious situation, a situation so serious that they should've died, then that person must be fated for something else. Why else would they still be living? It's some kind of divine intervention. A deus ex machina."

"I think I understand. You're basically saying that Val and Adrian were kept alive because they probably have a bigger role to fill in the future. What do you think will happen?"

"Do you think there are beings stronger than Yuri?"

"What do you mean, Rob?"

"Brian told us that Yuri wasn't doing this mission to kill the other gods out of her own will. She was being manipulated by someone else. Who might you think is powerful enough to rule over a god like that?"

"You're right.. That's kinda scary. Are there really things more powerful than Yuri? I mean, all of them were seriously injured in encountering her. Not one god isn't in some sort of hospital bed!"

"I just hope that we don't get involved in it. This experience was really traumatic, and I don't need another trauma in my life after this."

Carly and Robert both stared into the sea.

"Hey look," exclaimed Robert, "A dolphin!"

The dolphin jumped out of the water and dove back in. It even began to squeak after noticing its spectators watching it.

"Dolphins are pretty cool," said Carly.

"I felt a dolphin once on a vacation," said Robert, "It felt rubbery. The wetness of the water also made it feel like a used condom!"

Carly hit Robert in the head, "You should know when to stop talking sometimes."

Kaleb stared at the ceiling.

"Szybkość, Zniszczenie, Panowanie, Przestrzeń, Rzeczywistość, Czas, and Dostosowanie," he thought, "The seven laws that bound the gods limits and abilities. Each law represents the power of the gods. What would exactly happen if a god were to be killed?"

He then stared at the injured Brian, Jak, Styx, Adrian, and Neos.

"There's a weird feeling in my gut," thought Kaleb, "It's as if we all released something evil. Did we make the right choice in killing Yuri and ending her reign of terror on Silver Leaf? Did we make a mistake?

Of course not."
