A grayish steam appeared from the holes of the door as it opened. Jazz teleported back to where the crew was as they stared in awe of the office. Compared to the giant door, upon walking inside, the office was small, but large enough to fit all of the crew. Not much was in the office except for two potted plants in the corners and a painting. There were also two bookshelves facing each other back to back.
In front of the crew was a standard desk with an office chair. The chair was empty, but there seemed to be paperwork on the table, lighted by a headlamp. The crew inspected the office, trying to find Law.
Val took a peek at the papers on the desk, aware that it was an invasion of privacy. The paperwork contained words in a language she didn't know, but had a visual diagram:
"???-> Azarthoth
-> Adonis
-> Seraph
-> Yuri Godrasil"
"Yuri Godrasil?" thought Val, "What is her name doing here? And who are these other people?"
Suddenly, the paper had vanished, turned into black smoke in front of Val's eyes.
"I'm sure you didn't understand a single word on that document," said a dark low voice, "Let's keep it that way."
"Law," said Brian, "Apologies for being here with your permission, but we have something to negotiate to you about."
"May I first ask why there's a trespasser in my realm?" replied Law.
Law was an intimidating man who stood taller than six feet. He hid his hands in his pockets, but Val knew that they were dangerous.
"She's here because of something that has happened," replied Brian, "It's an urgent matter."
"Law shifts are occurring here and there. How is it not an urgent matter? Explain yourselves."
"The being of adaptation, known as Yuri Godrasil, was the traitor god. Due to our duties under you, we were to defeat her and bring her back here for judgement. However, in the process, we couldn't bring her back alive."
"So.. she is dead?"
"Yes sir."
Val took a look around the room. She noticed that it had grown bigger than before, and that they were all standing on Law's desk. They were like toy soldiers patrolling around the surface.
"Brian," said Law as he walked up to his face, "Can you tell me the consequences if a being so powerful and important such as Yuri were to die or fade from existence?"
"There will be no being to fill the role that Yuri had.." replied Brian nervously.
"And do you know why these law shifts occur?"
"To find a way to fill the role that Yuri has left. It may take many millennia, and multiple galaxies could be destroyed."
"Very good. So based on what you're telling me.. The perfect reality squares that I've worked so hard to maintain is now being corrupted by the law shifts?
And you are all the root of it?"
"That's not it! We were forced to kill her or she was going to kill us all! Val here had to help us so that we wouldn't die in the process."
"You are all six powerful beings, and you needed help from a human to bring only one down?"
"When you put it that way, it does sound kinda bad. But hear us out! Yuri was extremely powerful! Her adaptation ability allowed her to get such a powerful ability that it could've rivaled even yours!"
Law smacked Brian's face, quickly launching him to the ground. Jazz instinctively teleported to him, trying to check for any injuries.
"Now you dare to question my power? You're all still as ungrateful as ever, even when I gave you all your abilities."
"Hey!" yelled Jak, "You didn't have to do that! All Brian was doing was telling the truth! We all could've died and she probably would've come after you as well!"
Suddenly, Law was behind Jak. Jak suddenly couldn't move. What was happening to him?
"Jak," said Law quietly, "You were always the loudmouth of the group. Always so reckless. Do you know what I just did to you?"
Jak couldn't move, not even being able to speak. His own lips prevented him from talking! Suddenly, Jak fell to the ground, gasping.
"I've touched you with my nails," said Law, "By doing so, I paralyzed your entire body."
Jak got up angrily, molding the feet of Law to the ground and turning his fists into heated steel. He punched at Law, but he was no longer there.
"An attack, Jak? How reckless of you," replied Law as he touched him with his hand.
Neos, Kaleb and the rest looked in terror. They were all in shock of Law's power. Val stepped forward, like her body wanted to help. However, her mind was totally paralyzed in fear, as if Law had touched her mind.
Law touched a vein on Jak's neck.
