SPLRCHK!!
The group was silent. Kaleb, Neos, Brian, Jazz, Styx, and Val stared at the body on the floor. Pieces of skin scattered the ground. Did Val seriously just witness that? She cupped her mouth, vomiting. The barf spewed from the holes in between Val's fingers. Tears ran from all of their faces except Kaleb and Brian.
Jak was dead.
"Hm?" said Law, "I just felt a time anomaly. It seems like these law shifts are getting bigger and bigger. The death of yet another god surely made it more impactful. It's no matter.
Once I've finished all of you off, the law shifts will take care of the rest; replacing every last one of you."
Suddenly, Law was knocked back. He touched his jaw, feeling for injury. In front of Law was Kaleb, who had extended his arm in an uppercut.
"Like hell we'd let you do that," he said angrily, not willing to allow what happened to Jak to the others.
Suddenly, Law was behind Kaleb, reaching to touch the veins of his neck for a blood burst. Kaleb dodged the attack with his speed, counterattacking with another punch. Multiple barrages soon beat Law to the ground. Brian reached into his pocket, pulling out knives, happily anticipating that they would be fighting Law.
Jazz saw the knives and used them to her advantage, teleporting them into the insides of Law's body. Law knew that he couldn't fight them all by himself.
"So you've all agreed to fight me, huh?" laughed Law, as his mouth began to bleed, "Then you'll definitely get a knack for this! I manipulate Authority!"
The crew were stunned in what Law was doing. He was self replicating himself, creating two more copies! Now, Law planned to kill them all. Jazz teleported Neos behind Law, easily exploding him into multiple pieces. However, the clones of Law didn't disappear.
"You thought destroying the original would kill us all?" laughed Law, creating another clone, "We share a network of memories. The more clones, the better."
Neos was vulnerable. Law had meshed his legs into the ground, preventing him from moving. Kaleb tried to help, but was too busy fighting a clone. Jazz and Brian were being surrounded by a clone too. Law was close to Neos until suddenly he was knocked towards the ground by a huge amount of force. Styx stopped time! Law had forgotten of Styx's ability to manipulate time. Neos was free from the mesh, thanking Styx for saving him.
Styx was too focused on Neos to see what was happening to Kaleb. He wasn't going as fast as he was anymore. Law had decelerated Kaleb, putting him to normal speed. Kaleb made a fatal mistake, and soon his body parts were scattered on the floor, just like Jak.
"Styx!" said Neos, getting angry, "Keep Val safe. Your ability is our only safeguard right now, and we need to keep our body count up as possible."
Styx slowed down time to carry Val to safety as Neos, Brian, and Jazz fought off the rest of the Law clones. Neos engaged in one of the clones, fighting him to the best of his ability. One touch of either hand could result in death for the other. Jazz on the other hand, teleported a knife right into the brain of Law.
"Give me another!" said Jazz.
"That's all the knives I had," replied Brian, standing up.
Law created another clone, almost denying Jazz and Brian of their efforts. However, Neos exploded another clone, diminishing the numbers.
"Keep at it!" yelled Neos, "We have to destroy all of them so that he can't replicate anymore!"
Neos was meshed to the ground again, unable to escape. Two Law clones came after him, ready to burst the blood from his veins. Soon, Jazz teleported in front of Neos, kicking a Law clone away from him. However, she wasn't fast enough to attack the other clone, causing her leg to burst from Law touching her veins. Jazz yelled in agony as Neos was freed from the mesh. Neos tried to carry Jazz, but soon realized after a few seconds that she was no longer breathing: Blood loss.
Brian and Neos were infuriated. The two of them fought alongside one another, dodging the hazardous hands of Law and punching him with almost perfect coordination. They couldn't keep it up forever, and once Brian felt the blood of Neos splatter on his face, he rushed in with more force. Brian is known for being the strongest god in terms of combat, almost dodging each and every attack that the three clones threw at him.
"Styx!" yelled Brian, "Our backup plan!"
Brian's yell distracted him from the fight. He knew that by warning Styx, he would die there by the hands of Law. He also knew that it was worth it to tell Styx. From a distance, Styx and Val saw a fountain of blood emerge from the three clones.
"Val," explained Styx, whispering in caution, "Our backup plan was for me to restart the day to a certain point so that we could replay the fight and hopefully have me defeat Law. However, from the looks of it, I don't think I have the power to defeat Law by myself. Even with time aiding me—"
A Law clone was behind Styx, seemingly teleporting from the desk! Styx foresaw the teleportation, stopping time to hit Law away and bring Val to a safer corner. However, Law seemed to be able to move in stopped time. That didn't stop Styx from fleeing.
"Val," said Styx as time resumed once again, "I'm going to replay the day, but I'll be transferring my memories to you. Look for the white orb! That will possibly be our only chance at defeating Law!—"
Styx foresaw another attack, this time from two clones. She skipped time to get herself and Val away from them.
"Hurry up and run!" yelled Styx, "The replay will happen in a few seconds. I'll hold them off! Just get out of danger for a little while!"
Val ran as Styx slowed down time to take down the clones one by one. Styx foresaw the attacks of the clones, but knew that she couldn't take them all by herself.
Soon, she foresaw her own death.
Val woke up.
