another adventure. 😏—
SHE DIDN'T expect to see Junhui standing before her with a bouquet of her favorite flowers. The yellow of the sunflowers were the only color in his dreary appearance, besides the redness of his cheeks from his slight sunburn. Sunny, on the other hand, dressed in a plain white shirt and black skirt, her hair tamed more so than usual. "Wow," he breathed out, his eyes devouring the girl in front of him. She bowed her head in embarrassment. "You look beautiful." She covered her blushing cheeks with her hands, her lips pulling into a shy smile. "Thank you," she giggled out. He pushed the flowers toward her with a wide smile of his own. "I searched around for your favorite flowers... Army really knows you well." She nodded in agreement, taking the bouquet from his hand. "Let me put these in water."
She moved back into her apartment and searched for an empty vase. Luckily, the vase she had gotten from the boys for Valentine's Day still sat empty. She filled it with water and placed the beautiful sunflowers into it. Her fingers pulled gently at the baby blue bow wrapped around them as she smiled wider. She turned back around to leave when she noticed that she didn't have her phone on her. "Oh, I forgot my phone!" she called out to the male still standing outside before she raced toward her bedroom. She snatched the device from her bed and raced back outside to find Junhui scrolling through his phone. "Okay, I'm ready." She straightened the bag across her chest nervously. Junhui glanced back toward her and pocketed his cellphone.
"Good." He held out his hand for her to take, to which she did. She intertwined their fingers and allowed him to lead her away from her apartment. Her eyes scanned the side of the street across from her apartment, but she couldn't seem to find his black vehicle. Her eyebrows furrowed as she turned to look at Junhui. "Where's your car?" she asked. He hummed, his fingers squeezing hers. "I thought we would walk today. It's nice outside, yeah?" She nodded in agreement. She didn't mind it. She loved walking, or riding her bike places. Her steps became bouncy as she swung their arms between them. "I was thinking about renting bikes when we got to the destination. I know that you like riding." She smiled brightly toward the male. "You really did your research!"
