✯HE LINGERED in the corner of the room. No one dared to sit on that couch. There was no telling what would come off and stain your clothes. He leaned against the wall, his eyes focused on Sunny's small figure moving to the blasting music. All of the girls were entirely in sync until Sunny took the wrong step, bumping right into Soojin. The girl's eyes widened at the realization, quickly sputtering an apology when the others halted. "I'm sorry, I got mixed up," she quickly spoke up, her eyes moving from Soojin to Soyeon. "Can we please start over?" Soyeon exhaled heavily. They were all dripping with sweat. They had gotten the choreography almost completely down, but that one step always tricked Sunny up. "Stop thinking so much, Chinsun," Junhui spoke up from the corner. "You're in your head too much. Let the music flow through you."
She slowly nodded at his instructions, too focused on her feet than the heated glare Soyeon sent Junhui. "Alright. Starting positions." The girls began to move back when Sunny stumbled into Eunjeong, a gasp slipping past her lips. "What did I just say?" She turned to look over at Junhui, her eyes widening. She pressed her finger against her lips only for a moment before moving to her starting position successfully. The girls could see him roll his eyes in the mirror. The music began to play once again and Sunny finally released all of the nerves and tension within her body. She moved fluidly to the music, hitting all of her marks. The girls were now smiling, proud of what they were doing. As the part began to creep near, she refused to let her mind psyche her out. She let the music take her where she was supposed to go, resulting in the correct steps and a finished choreography.
"I did it!" Sunny giggled as Soojin held her hands up for high fives. The girls began to celebrate though the body in the corner continued to shake his head. He stepped silently toward Chinsun, his eyes on her smiling face within the mirror. "Baby," he cooed, his hands now resting on her hips. She jumped at the sudden contact before a nervous laugh slipped past her lips. "This choreography is hard. It's understandable that you can't get it." Soyeon's eyebrows furrowed at Junhui's words. "A lot of you don't exactly have it nailed down, anyway." His eyes flickered toward the fuming leader. "Have you not been watching? We just nailed that," she hissed, crossing her arms tight over her chest. Sunny felt herself shrink back into her boyfriend, his grip on her hips tightening. "If you call flailing your arms like blow up dolls nailing it."
"You're so full of shit!" All of the girls' eyes except Soyeon's widened at her outburst. It was bound to happen sooner or later. Hearing the negative and taunting tone Junhui always held when talking to them was bound to set Soyeon off. "So, being right is being full of shit?" He scoffed. His arm wrapped around Sunny's waist, causing the girl to gasp. "You're not right. You're just trying to make us feel bad because you feel bad about yourself." His grip continued to tighten as Soyeon picked him apart. "Is that why you decided to get with a virgin girl? Scared little Junhui wouldn't cut it with someone experienced?" Sunny suddenly wriggled out of Junhui's grip, her skin aching from where his fingers had once been. "I think that's enough," she spoke, her voice soft. "P–Please don't pull me into this... this quarrel you two have going on."
Soyeon's eyes softened for a moment upon noticing the discomfort Sunny was feeling. But they hardened once again the moment Junhui began to speak. "If you girls actually put your all into this, you'd succeed. The only reason you're relevant is the fact Sunny and Eunjeong are related to BTS members." Sunny's chest began to heave as the tension within the room continued to grow. She felt like she was being choked. "At least we're more relevant than you're group. I've never even heard of SEVENTEEN before you started chasing after Chinsun!" His jaw ticked. She had obviously struck a nerve within the male. "Awe," she cooed before breaking out into an amused chuckle. "Did I hurt the baby's feelings?" Miyeon grabbed Soyeon's wrist, dragging the leader's attention back toward her. "Stop," the eldest whispered.
"You know what, come on, Sunny. We're leaving." Sunny's eyes widened at Junhui's demand. She looked toward him in surprise. "I–I can't leave. I need to practice," she argued meekly. He rose a single brow as if to challenge her. "I can help you practice better than these amateurs." — "Park Chinsun, don't you dare walk out that door." Sunny felt tears brim her eyes as she looked between her angry boyfriend and angry member. Why had it gotten so hot all of a sudden. "Chinsun. Now," Junhui growled. She felt her heart pound against her chest as her head dropped. Eunnie stepped forward, pressing her fingers onto the girl's shoulder. "You don't have to go, unnie," she whispered, ignoring the stare Junhui held. Tears blurred her vision, yet she still tried to find the sweet Jeon through them. "I have to," she whispered back.
"Please don't let them stay mad at me—" Her words cut off when a strong grip latched around her bicep. She almost yelped when Junhui pulled her toward him, her feet stumbling beneath her. "You're so clumsy on your feet. That's why you can't get this choreography down," he told the brunette who refused to look up at him. He released her arm and threw it over her shoulders, keeping her stuck to his side. "You're going to have to work hard. Not what you were doing today. You were so lazy." A silent tear fell down her cheek as she nodded her head along to his words. "Don't cry, baby. I'll change it." He placed a kiss to the top of her head, his fingers tangling within her tousled curls.
Back in the studio, the girls watched him pull her to his car and force her into the passenger seat before they drove away. Soyeon collapsed to the floor, allowing the cool wood to press against any fragment of exposed skin as she could. "He is such an asshole," she groaned loudly, her voice bouncing off the walls. The rest of the girls fell to the floor around her, breathing heavily. The moment the two had left, the tension had cleared. It felt more breathable without his looming presence. "I'm worried," Eunnie voiced, running her hand over her pulled back hair. Minnie, who had been silent most of the day, finally released a heavy sigh. "I am too. Really worried." All eyes turned toward the girl in surprise. "We all know that Junhui couldn't stay last night, so I could finally sleep in my own bed. Well, when I walked in, Sunny was crying and holding her sides. She told me not to worry, but..."
Soyeon sat up straight, her nostrils flared. "If that bastard is hurting her, so help me God." Miyeon stared at the leader. Soyeon had been known to have a foul mouth. "What are you going to do? Fight him?" Soyeon looked back toward the oldest of the group. Her eyebrows furrowed into a frown. "If I have to. I'd do anything to keep you all safe." A warm feeling spread throughout the dance room at Soyeon's cheesy confession. "The bruises from last time point to that he may be hurting her," Soojin voiced as her fingers ran through her thick, black hair. "I mean, she's been wearing big clothes for the past few days. And remember when she had that bandage two weeks ago?" Eunnie's eyebrows knitted together in confusion. "She burned herself, though." Soojin sighed. "She said she did, but what if she didn't?"
Miyeon shuddered at the thought of Sunny going through something like this. "The most we can do is ask? She may tell us, she may not. But its worth a try." The girls agreed with heavy sighs and heavy hearts. "Now, lets get back to practicing so we can all eat."
