SHE STIRRED awake, fumbling against the loose grip around her waist. Her bare legs ran along the cool sheets beneath her, her fingers curling into the hoodie adorning the man beside her. She could feel his breath against her hair, his muscled chest hard beneath her ear. She focused on the steady rhythm of his heartbeat before realizing where she was. Her tangled locks fell into her eyes the moment she shot upward, her knuckles immediately screwing into her sleep filled eyes. The body beside her only moved closer, his strong arm wrapping tighter around her waist. "You okay?" he asked in his groggy, deep morning voice. The sound sent a frisson down her spine. She glanced over at the messy haired idol, a smile creeping along her face. "Yeah," she replied.

Her slim fingers combed through his hair, sticking to the small tangles and nails scratching gently against his scalp. His eyes remained closed, his plump lips parting as a satisfied sigh left his mouth. "Good morning," she whispered, easing herself back down into the mattress. Despite the stink of his morning breath, she found herself drawn to his lips. She traced her finger along the pillowy surface before she took the quiet moment to press her own against them. His arm that had been draped across her waist became firm. His large hand found the center of her back, using it to pull her closer into his body. She gasped at the contact, her lips parting only millimeters apart. He brushed his nose against hers, his warm, brown eyes finally fluttering open to spot the angel before him.

"Good morning." He used the arm he wasn't lying on to rake through her messy curls, pushing the brunette locks away from her forehead. She looked so beautiful like this — all bare faced and glowing beneath the soft sunlight. She rested her forehead against his, her breathing soft despite the sped up rate of her heartbeat. He caressed her neck, closing his eyes once more as he enjoyed her presence. He focused his hearing on her breathing. The moment felt like that of a dream. His fingers piddled with the tangled curls of her hair, moving to brush his thumb against her cheek. He was touching her in a new place every few beats, his mind needing the assurance that she was, in fact, there. She was truly laying there, in his arms, her forehead pressed to his.

A clatter from the kitchen seemed to startle the peaceful silence that floated within the room. Both parted, their heads turning toward the cracked bedroom door. Namjoon sat up, his shirt clinching to his skin, wrinkled against his torso. He glanced toward the other bed, finding Min Yoongi sound asleep. Sunny brushed her hair from her face, taking in his stature. His long arms stretched out in front of him, his lips slack as a yawn ripped through his throat. It was so domestic, the situation they were in just then. She felt like they were just Namjoon and Sunny, waking up on a weekend without a care in the world. But that wasn't their life. The events of the day prior played along her mind and she was reminded of who she was. She was an idol, and she was now single.
