✯"I CANNOT believe they would just say those things!" Sunny shouted the moment she and Junhui had stepped out of his car, approaching the girls' dorm. His jaw had surely been bruised, a purple color flowering across the skin. Luckily, the staff had given him an ice pack before Sunny had stormed off. "They're jealous," Junhui mentioned. He pulled on Sunny's hand, halting her movements. Her eyes still glistened with tears. "As long as you know I love you, that's all that matters, right?" He cupped her jaw in his hand gently, running his thumb along the span of skin. She nodded, sniffling. "You're nothing he called you. Don't let his false judgement hurt you anymore." She accepted his kiss happily, almost melting into him. It had been so long since he had been so gentle. "I love you, Park Chinsun."
Sweat bled across her forehead. Her makeup artist was frantically dabbing it away, touching up on her thick coat of foundation. Her warm, brown eyes were locked on her reflection in the mirror. Her dark curls had been straightened. Her costume fit her like a glove. She looked beautiful, but where was Junhui? The girls chattered happily around her, minus their maknae, about the energy the crowd had built. Being that it was their first concert, adrenaline overtook their bodies and minds. They were buzzing as if they had drank too much; completely and positively drunk off of their fans energy and positive feedback. No one had noticed the blank stare of their group's angel or the weakness behind their maknae's movements. The two girls were an absolute mess.
"Woo!" A loud, booming male voice cheered as footsteps trampled toward the backstage. Sunny's head snapped toward the sound and she quickly regretted the action. Her eyes met Yoongi's almost immediately. Though his narrowed into a harsh glare that felt like bullets flying through her skull, the guilt was evident. She returned the glare before turning back to the mirror. "Jungie!" Eunjeong called out from her seat. The Jeon brother smiled at his sister, cutting Sunny a glance. He smiled, unknowing of the events the night before. "Hi, noona," he greeted the Park twin, who only looked down to her fumbling fingers. Confusion swept over his features. He was going to try again when Soojin caught his arm and shook her head.
"I never wanted to be the person to tell you this, Sunny," he explained. She curled up closer to his chest as her heart hammered between them. His fingers tangled into her curly hair, the other rubbing her arm through her sleeve. "I thought they genuinely cared about me," she spoke in a broken voice. All of her tears had been used up. All that was left was the looming dark cloud, its sinister smile taunting her. She forced her knuckles into her eye and rubbed hard at the tender flesh. "You learn how to fake things when you become an idol, baby." He kissed her head gently. Despite the sorrow so evident on her face, Junhui found himself smiling. His plan of isolating her was working, and he didn't even have to work hard at it. They were ruining their friendship with her on their own.
