A/N: I FREAKING LOVE YOUR COMMENTS. Please, comment as you read. It makes my day.
Still deciding how I was going to play this, I glanced at Harry again. He still hadn’t turned around and for a moment, I just admired his broad shoulders. An idea occurred to me, and I smirked slightly. On tiptoes, I walked over beside him. I sucked in a mouthful of air.
Harry had noticed my shadow, and he turned his head to look up at me.“Hey, Cami—“
He didn’t get to say anything else before I jumped into the pool. Once my body hit the surface, I cringed at the first touch. It was colder than I’d anticipated, but I adjusted quickly.
I came up for air, moving my hair away from my face. Grinning widely, I faced Harry. He was staring at me with an open mouth. I laughed.
“Don’t look that surprised,” I said.
Returning to himself, he quickly averted his eyes from me. “Sorry, It’s just…” He trailed off.
I frowned. What was the problem? As I looked down at myself, I gathered why: the I heart Italy T-shirt was white, and now in it’s soaked state, it left nothing to imagination.
Gasping, I ducked below the surface again, making sure to cover my chest. The clear water wouldn’t do much to hide anything, though. It still felt useful.
Harry looked back at me. “Maybe I should head up first,” he said and hooked a thumb over his shoulder.
I splashed water on him. “Wuss.” I didn’t jump in just to have him chicken out in the last second. This had been his idea.
The shock horror on his face as the water hit him was priceless. He quickly shook it off, though, and soon after his eyes narrowed and a smirk played at his lips.
Oh, no. What have I gotten myself into?
Harry jumped into the water without hesitation, diving beneath the surface as he swam directly towards me. I bit down on my lip so I wouldn’t squeal as I didn’t want to attract any attention. After all, pretty much half of the hotel’s guests could be looking at us right now. A fact, I tried really hard not to think about.
I tried to evade him, but Harry dove beneath me and swam in between my legs. His hands held my legs, and he stood up, with me on top of his shoulders. My nails dug into his arms, as I tried to gain some sort of balance.
“Say you’re sorry,” he said.
I laughed. “No way.”
He swayed a bit back and forth, threatening to drop me in the water. “Say it.”
“Nuh, uh.” I giggled.
“Suit yourself then,” he said. He jumped up in the air and fell backwards, my own body following his every movement. I only had a second to hold my breath, but I managed.
I came up for air quickly after, jumping up on Harry’s back again. “Haha. Is that the worst you got?”
He snorted. “Hardly. I’m just going easy on you.”
“I don’t believe you,” I said as I wrapped my arms around his neck. My legs went around his torso, and I clung myself to his back. He wasn’t getting rid of me that easy—I was a human backpack without adjustable straps.
Sure enough, he tried to shake me off, diving beneath the water in the hopes I’d loosen my hold. No such luck, though. I was sticking to him like glue.
Finally, he held up his hands in surrender. Laughing, he said, “I give up.”
I released my hold and jumped back into the water. “Ha. I knew you couldn’t—“
