I felt self-conscious when I stepped out of the cabin. The black bikini was a tad snug, and it made a cleavage appear that I didn’t know I had. It wasn’t ugly, but it made me feel awkward. With the blue towel wrapped around my body and the clothes safely located in my purse, I looked around for the rest of the group.

It didn’t take long before I spotted Harry and Zayn playing with a ball in the sand. Diana had found a sunny spot a little while away, and Steven was bossing the crewmembers around to prepare for tonight’s show. I had no idea where the rest of the actors were, but I guessed they could be anywhere from the marvelous beach house behind me, and the street vendor I’d just visited.

Diana saw me and stuck a hand in the air. “Cami, come here!” she yelled.

I trudged over to her, careful not to take a wrong step and fall on my face. “What’s up?” I asked as I sat down beside her.

“Are you serious about swimming?” she asked, a smile playing on her lips.

I shrugged. “I guess. It looks really inviting.”

“Want to have company?” She blinked.

“Are you playing me right now?” I looked around. I couldn’t tell if this was a trick.

She shook her head. “I just thought about what you said, and it’s really hot out here.”

Snorting, I asked, “Why haven’t you taken off the dress then?”

“Why haven’t you taken off the towel?” she countered.

“Touché.” I frowned and looked at the blue water. “So you’re up for it?”

“I’m up for having some fun at least…” She grinned.

I glanced at her, unsure on how to read her. “Why do I feel like I should be afraid?”

Laughing, she nudged my arm. “Come on. You can’t tell me you can’t see the possibilities here?”

“What possibilities?”

“You, in a bikini. Harry in swim trunks. The water.” She rolled her eyes. “I bet he’s going to love the bikini.”

I groaned. “I just told you nothing is going to happen between Harry and me.” I didn’t voice my actual thoughts, though. At the mention of Harry and me in the water, my head filled with a series of pictures of the pool—a series of images that shouldn’t be developed into physical copies.

“I know, but that doesn’t have to mean we can’t have some fun.” She smiled. “Here, follow my lead.” She stood up and yelled. “Hey guys.”

As they turned around, I tried to sink deeper into the sand.

“Yeah?” Zayn answered.

“Are you going in the water?”

He shook his head. “I don’t think so. Not right now, at least. Harry has to later, though.”

“Chicken…” She turned to me with a wink, and then she pulled the sundress over her head.

If I hadn’t already felt self-conscious, the sight of Diana in a bikini would have sent me running. However, the look in her eyes gave me renewed courage. Without thinking, I stood up.

I tried to ignore he guys as I slowly unwrapped the towel, revealing everything. I felt incredibly exposed but not in a bad way. Diana reached out a hand, and a tad hesitant I took it in mine.
