3rd person pov

Two weeks had passed since Beam's accident, and everyone was caught up in their own lives. Beam had recovered from his injuries and resumed his classes, but his usual casanova lifestyle had not resumed with him. It wasn't because he lacked offers; rather, he couldn't find someone who piqued his interest. Instead, he found himself engrossed in planning a birthday party for his best friend, Wayo. With the help of Kit, they organized everything from the venue to the food while Phana was busy distracting his boyfriend.

"Why are we the ones doing this?" Kit complained as they worked on the preparations.

"Because," Beam replied casually.

"You're worse than Pha."

"You say that every time," Beam chuckled and patted Kit's shoulder. They were on their way to the restaurant with the birthday cake, with Kit as the driver since Beam didn't trust him with the cake. They arrived at the restaurant and ensured everything was set for the surprise party, which kicked off with great enthusiasm.

As the party continued, Beam suddenly felt overwhelmed and needed some fresh air. Phana noticed Beam getting up and stopped him on his way out of the restaurant.

"Are you okay? Should I be worried?" Phana asked with concern.

"No, I'm just feeling stuffed. I'll be back in a moment," Beam replied, trying to brush it off as simple discomfort. Phana nodded, though he was unsure, and Beam left the restaurant. He sat down on a bench outside, took deep breaths, and tried to calm himself, but something was wrong.

Memories of a traumatic day from three years ago rushed back to him, the day his father had left him and his mother. It was the same day, and his mother hadn't called him yet. Only his two best friends knew how deeply it had affected him when his once-happy family had shattered so suddenly. Beam was overwhelmed by emotions and cursed under his breath. His heart raced, and tears welled up in his eyes. He clenched his fists, struggling to cope with the surge of emotions.

"FVCK..." Beam cursed again as the memories flooded his mind. His heart pounded, and he felt like he couldn't breathe. He closed his eyes tightly, attempting to regain control, but the panic attack intensified. Without realizing it, he started walking forward. Before he could react, he collided with someone's chest and let out an irritated groan. The impact was much stronger than he had expected, and he felt himself falling onto the road.

"What the fvck?" Beam swore again, panic rising as he fell, but two strong arms encircled his waist, preventing him from hitting the ground.

"You're such a nuisance. Can't you watch where you're going?" a familiar voice scolded him. Surprisingly, Beam didn't react with anger but clung to the person, inhaling their comforting scent.

"Forth," Beam mumbled into the person's chest, seeking solace.

For a moment, Forth was taken aback by Beam's reaction. He hadn't expected Beam to respond like this. Stuttering, he finally said, "Umm... Beam."

"Forth, I think he needs help. I'll call his friends," Lam suggested, and Forth nodded in agreement. Lam quickly dialed Phana's number and explained the situation.

The night had taken a tumultuous turn as Beam found himself caught in a whirlwind of emotions and actions he couldn't quite comprehend. His friend Forth had a hold of him, desperation in his eyes, pleading for answers.

"Beam... Beam, look at me. Hey, tell me what happened?" Beam released Forth's shirt, his gaze fixated on Forth's face. But before he could utter a word, Beam abruptly turned away, leaving Forth bewildered and alarmed. The events of the day were becoming increasingly unbearable for Beam, and his actions were spiraling out of control.
