Beam's pov

I found myself in a situation I couldn't quite comprehend. Why was I here in his dorm? Why had I followed my emotions to this point? The idea of love both intrigued and terrified me. I wanted to believe his words when he confessed his love for me, but there was a nagging doubt in my heart, a fear of repeating the mistakes of the past. My parents' failed relationship loomed large in my mind, a constant reminder of the fragility of love.

As I settled on the sofa in Forth's room, I couldn't help but question my actions. We had arrived half an hour ago, and I had taken a shower, borrowing his clothes for the night. Now, he was in the bathroom, and I was left alone with my thoughts. Lately, I had been plagued by a lack of sleep, my mind in turmoil as I searched for a way to free myself from these confusing emotions. All I wanted was a good night's sleep to clear my mind.

"Why are you on the sofa? I told you to take the bed. I'll sleep here tonight." Forth's voice brought me back from my reverie. He stood before me, extending his hand. I hesitated for a moment but then took it, allowing him to pull me to my feet.

"You're not sleeping here. You said you wanted to sleep, so come to bed. It'll be more comfortable," he insisted.

"I was just waiting for you," I replied, moving to the bed and settling in, my gaze fixed on his face as he fidgeted.

"Ummm, is there something you need?"

"Actually, there is. If... if you're comfortable sleeping in the same bed, you can take the other side." I mentally berated myself for asking such a thing. My words seemed to be driven by impulse, and I had no idea what I might say next. However, Forth smiled and circled around the bed to lie on the other side.

"Are you sure you don't have any feelings for me? Because it seems like you're already quite comfortable around me. You're not lashing out at me, and you still haven't answered my question. Am I allowed to court you?" he inquired, lying on his side to face me. I took a deep breath and turned to meet his gaze, my hand reaching out to touch his cheek.

"I'm not used to these emotions. It's all foreign to me, but... I can't deny it any longer. I have feelings for you."

"Am I the person you told your friends about?" I couldn't believe they had divulged that information to him.

"They warned you to stay away from me?" I asked.

"Not really. Just answer me." He was eager to know, and I couldn't help but smile, my hand caressing his cheek.

"Kiss me." He held my hand against his cheek and deftly rolled on top of me, his lips finding mine. The kiss was passionate, filled with longing and desire, making my heart race. It was a promise of the adventure ahead.

"I'm assuming this will be an adventurous ride for me. You like to surprise me, huh?" Forth said playfully. He continued by peppering my neck with kisses, sending shivers down my spine. Unexpectedly, he began tickling my ribs, and laughter bubbled out of me until I could hardly breathe. He laughed with me, and when I called for a timeout, he stopped and rolled onto his back.

"stoppp... time out. I can't breath." He stopped his assault and rolled on his back.

"You can court me," I finally managed to say after catching my breath. I moved closer, seeking refuge in his embrace, which he willingly provided.

"Breakfast date tomorrow morning?"

"Sounds good to me," I replied, my voice muffled as I nestled my head under his chin.

"Goodnight, Beam."

"Umm, goodnight, Forth." His arms tightened around me, and before I knew it, sleep overcame me. That night, I slept soundly, like a baby in the comforting embrace of love.
