3rd Person POV

The night at the hospital had been incredibly boring for Beam. He was accustomed to being alone when he was unwell, and having this engineering student, Forth, accompany him was a strange and somewhat uncomfortable experience. He couldn't fathom why Forth had saved him and why he was staying the night at the hospital.

The hours seemed to drag on, and Beam's fatigue was beginning to overwhelm him. His eyes kept drooping, thanks to the adrenaline rush he had experienced earlier. He tried to politely ask if he could sleep, hoping that Forth might leave, but the response he received was far from what he expected.

"No, you've to eat first," Forth replied sternly, maintaining eye contact. Beam couldn't help but feel frustrated. He had been hearing the same thing for nearly two hours, and he just wanted to sleep.

"But you're not giving me any food. You've been saying that for almost two hours. I don't want to eat; I want to sleep. You don't have to stay here with me. I'm fine now," Beam insisted, hoping Forth would take the hint and leave. However, Forth's reaction caught him off guard.

Forth's demeanor turned cold, and he loomed over Beam, causing him to gulp nervously. The sudden change in Forth's tone and behavior left Beam stunned.

"You want me to leave? It was you who collided with me in the first place. I had to take care of those lowlifes, even though I didn't have any problem with them. I had to take you to the hospital. And here you are, an ungrateful fool, telling me to leave. Do you have any idea who I am and how important my time is?" Forth hissed, his voice dripping with anger.

Beam couldn't believe what he was hearing. He hadn't asked for Forth's help in the first place, and now he was being berated for something he didn't request.

"I didn't ask for your help. You did it on your own. I'm not asking you to stay here either," Beam retorted, his annoyance growing.

Forth's grip on Beam's wrist tightened, and Beam winced in pain, unable to hold back a whimper. When Forth released his grip, Beam pulled his hand close to his chest, avoiding eye contact.

"Ahhh," Beam whimpered again, this time from the pain in his wrist. Forth attempted to reach for Beam's hand, but Beam pulled it away, refusing to let him touch it.

"Beam," Forth called out, but Beam stubbornly kept his gaze averted. Frustration filled the room, and Beam's eyes welled up with tears, a mixture of anger and annoyance.

Forth pressed the call button, summoning a nurse to the room. When she arrived, Forth explained the situation and asked her to check Beam's wrist, which now bore red marks from his tight grip.

"I'll leave now," Forth stated coldly and headed towards the door. Beam continued to ignore him, staring out the window on his right.

As Forth left the room, Beam overheard the door closing with a force that, while not excessive, violated hospital decorum. The nurse approached Beam to examine his wrist, noting the bruising.

"He's a feisty one," she chuckled, causing Beam to feel even more annoyed. What did she mean by that? She went on to inquire about dizziness and headaches, and Beam replied honestly that he didn't experience any at the moment.

The nurse provided Beam with his food and medication before leaving the room, instructing him to get some rest. Exhausted and emotionally drained, Beam finally succumbed to sleep as soon as his head touched the pillow.

Forth's pov

I stormed into my dorm, fueled by anger that had been building up since the incident at the hospital. My friends were there, and I could see Lam sitting on my bed, munching on something, while Park was engrossed in playing my video games. The noise of the keys I threw onto the table caught Park's attention, and he asked what had happened.

"What happened?" Park inquired, looking puzzled by my apparent rage.

"If any of you utter his name in front of me, I'll snap his neck," I growled, my anger spilling over. I could see Park's expression change, and he looked to Lam for support.

"Forth, calm down," Lam said soothingly, attempting to defuse the situation. I realized that my outburst wasn't fair to my friends, and I sighed, regretting my outburst.

I stood there in the middle of the room, feeling the tension dissipate. I shrugged my shoulders apologetically at Park. It wasn't their fault, after all.

"That fvcker doesn't have an ounce of gratitude in him. I swear, if he ever shows his face to me again, I'll kick him where it hurts the most," I muttered, venting my frustration.

Lam came closer and patted my shoulder, offering some comfort and wisdom.

"You don't know him, Forth. He's the college casanova with a cold heart. Just forget about him. He's not worth your anger."

Lam's words were like a wake-up call. He was right; I shouldn't let that casanova jerk affect me so much.

"Yeah, you're right. I won't waste any more thoughts on him," I replied, realizing that obsessing over that ungrateful person wasn't worth it.

I then asked my friends why they were in my dorm.

"We were waiting for you. We need all the juicy details," Park playfully stated, earning a disapproving look from Lam.

"Don't mind him. We just wanted to spend the night here. Now that you're back, we can go," Lam explained before pulling Park out of the room and shutting the door with a slam.

"Idiots," I mumbled to myself as I decided to take a shower before trying to get some sleep. However, sleep didn't come easily that night. My mind was still preoccupied with thoughts of that ungrateful jerk, and I couldn't help but wonder if I'd ever cross paths with him again. I hoped I wouldn't, as I didn't want to lose my temper again. Eventually, exhaustion overcame my racing thoughts, and I fell into a restless sleep around 3 in the morning.
