Beam's Pov
Here we go again, I thought, feeling my annoyance bubble up as I spotted him in our cafeteria. Why can't he just leave me alone? I told him I am not interested in men ...ughh well except one. He was so persistent.
"Sam, leave me alone. You have your answer. It will remain the same whether you accept it or not." I glued my eyes to his face to hear what he was going to say.
"But one date won't hurt you. Just one date that's what I am asking you only. I promise, if you don't like me after that, I'll stop pursuing you," Sam pleaded, his eyes filled with hope. After a couple of minutes of silence and intense staring, I was just about to respond when I heard a low growl.
"Nong, back off," a voice behind me warned. I turned to see who had come to my rescue.
"P... Lam... P... Forth...?" Sam stammered behind me. But my attention was drawn to the person growling, his fists clenched and trembling. It was Lam who had issued the warning.
"What are you doing here?" I asked both of them, still trying to process the sudden turn of events.
"Nothing much, just wandering around. Is he bothering you?" Lam replied in an unusually calm tone, a calm that felt like the quiet before a storm.
"It's none of your business. I can handle it," I replied calmly as well. But Forth had different plans. He forcefully pushed Lam aside, who was standing behind him, and strode toward Sam, who was still beside me.
"Haa... Forth!!!" Lam and I gasped as we watched in shock at what happened next. Forth punched Sam squarely in the face with such force that Sam crashed to the floor, blood streaming from his nose.
"What the heck! Are you out of your mind?" I yelled, utterly stunned by Forth's sudden and violent outburst. Lam swiftly wrapped his arms around Forth's chest, trying to restrain him from delivering another punch. I looked around and noticed that a crowd of students had already gathered to witness the chaotic scene.
"Let go, Forth. You're going to get yourself into trouble," Lam implored, but it seemed to fall on deaf ears.
"FORTH JATURPOOM, LEAVE HIM RIGHT NOW!" My voice reverberated through the cafeteria, causing Forth's movements to freeze. He stood there, head hung low in submission. Don't ask me how I knew his last name; let's just say I may or may not have done some social media research. I let out a sigh and helped Sam to his feet, guiding him to a chair. I grabbed some napkins and assisted him in stemming the bleeding from his nose. I prayed that it wasn't broken. Once I was satisfied that Sam could manage on his own, I turned to glare at Forth, who was once again growling menacingly at Sam.
"Why did you do this? He didn't provoke you in any way. Why the hell did you punch him?" I demanded answers, my frustration mounting as Forth remained silent. Instead, he grabbed my wrist, his grip strong and unyielding, and forcibly led me out of the cafeteria as I continued to shout at him.
"What the heck is wrong with you? Let go of me, Jaturapoom, or you're going to regret it, I swear!" I yelled, but my words seemed to fall on deaf ears. We ended up in the parking lot of my faculty building. Since classes were still in session, there was no one around. Before I could react, he pressed me against a nearby car, leaving me stunned and bewildered by his actions.
"For... unghhh." I attempted to speak, but he didn't give me the chance. Instead, he kissed me hungrily, his lips capturing mine with a fervor I hadn't anticipated. My eyes widened, and I struggled to push him away, feeling as though he were starving after months of deprivation. He seized my hands, pinning them above my head, and intensified the kiss. When he finally pulled away, I was left breathless, my legs trembling. I couldn't decipher whether I was astonished or aroused; my heart raced so rapidly that it felt like it might burst out of my chest. After an intense and overwhelming exchange, he released me but didn't completely step back. His arm remained wrapped around my waist, supporting me as I struggled to maintain my balance on shaky legs. My eyes remained closed; I was hesitant to open them, knowing that my gaze might convey more about my feelings than I wished to reveal.
"Don't let anyone chase you, Beam. I'll beat that person to a pulp, mark my words," he whispered huskily into my ear, sending shivers down my spine. He finally released my hands and pulled away from me, his lips curving into a smug smirk.
"You... you bastard! Who the hell do you think you are?" I marched forward and kicked him in the middle of his legs. My anger had led me to act impulsively. I kicked him where it hurt the most, and the satisfaction I felt when he slumped down to the ground was oddly satisfying. His groans of pain didn't faze me at all. He deserved it, Moron.
"Fvck, that hurts, baby," he whimpered, and I felt my anger flare up again at his audacity.
"Who is your baby? Don't you dare cross that line again, or I'll beat you into a pulp, I swear," I hissed at him, my glare unwavering. I couldn't believe he had the nerve to call me that after what he'd just done.
But then, my attention was drawn to the tingling sensation on the area of my neck where he had sucked. I touched it, and the burning pain elicited a hiss from me. It was a strange mix of pain and pleasure that left my body in turmoil.
"MORON, YOU MARKED ME!!!" I shouted, marching towards him once more, fully intent on giving him a piece of my mind. However, someone intervened by picking me up from the waist, preventing me from reaching him.
"PUT ME DOWN. I WANT TO KILL THIS BASTARD," I yelled, struggling to break free from the person holding me.
"Beam, calm down," Phana's voice finally registered in my mind. I began to come to my senses, realizing the situation and where I was.
Kit had encircled my shoulders and was gently guiding me away from the parking lot.
"Let's get you out of here. You need to calm down, Beam," Kit said soothingly, and I nodded, taking some long breaths as I walked away, leaving Pha and Forth in the parking lot.
Forth's pov
I knew Beam's reaction would be intense, but I couldn't control myself when I saw him tending to that boy's injuries. So, I did what came to my mind first and marked him shamelessly in the university parking lot. Those lips were too tempting, and it took every ounce of my willpower to refrain from devouring him.
At least, this incident had made Beam aware of my feelings.
I got up from the ground and saw Phana trying to stop Beam from attacking me again. Beam was like a tsunami when he was angry. I straightened my clothes and took a step forward, but Kit was quick to pull Beam away.
"Forth, what happened? What did you do?" Phana asked, still in shock from the scene.
"I love him," I confessed without reservation.
"You... you love Beam, and you told him, and that was his reaction?" Phana's eyes were wide open in disbelief.
"No, I didn't tell him. I just marked him, and he went berserk after that," I replied calmly, though my heart felt heavy at the memory of Beam's furious reaction.
"Wow, he's feisty. I told you, Forth, not to pursue him."
"But I want to. I want to pursue him. I'll confess my feelings to him, whether he likes it or not."
"Forth, he loves someone. He told us a few days ago."
"He... he loves someone?"
"Yes, I don't know who it is, but he stopped drinking and sleeping around after he told us. That person obviously means a lot to him," Phana explained, and my heart sank at the realization.
"Forth..." I heard Lam's voice, and when I turned to look at him, I saw pity in his eyes. He had overheard our conversation.
"Let's go. We shouldn't be here," Lam suggested, and I nodded, trying to control my emotions. It felt like I had been struck mercilessly with a heavy blow.
