An Arrow's Target

-2 WEEKS LATER-

( (Y/N) POV )

Me and Dimitri had started to hang out with one another more and more for the past 2 weeks. Every evening he waits after class and we would walk around the grounds doing things here and there. I have come to enjoy hanging out with Dimitri and I also got to learn mote about him too.

I walked in class early in the morning and noticed that Dimitri looked unsettled, "Dimitri is something bothering you?"he turned, surprised to see me standing there. "Well..the battle with the bandits is tomorrow and..it's just bothering me." I patted him on the shoulder and smiled.

"We'll do good, I know we will." He smiled at me as I walked up to the front to start our lesson. But as I was about to speak till Seteth barged into the classroom, he looked as though he was in a rush.

"(Y/N) your class is needed immediately, bandits are surrounding a village in need of desperate help. Lady Reha insist you go."  I nodded and with that everyone stood up and walked it getting ready for battle. As I was walking out I turned to see Dimitri his face filled with a hint of worry.

I walked over to him and pat him on the back, he turned at me. "Dimitri, I trust you. You can watch over me and I will watch over you." His eyes opened wide then he nodded determination filled his eyes.

"Understood (Y/N)."

-TIME SKIP-

(Dimitri's POV)

As we walked on the battlefield I could feel my heart pounding loudly in my chest. I turned to see (Y/N) her eyes filled with determination. She turned to me and started to make her way towards me, when she was right next to me she smiled at me. 

I smiled back and was about to tell her "Good luck." Till yelling was heard from beyond the fields, a whole group of bandits started to run down to us. I looked at (Y/N) as she tightened her grip on her weapon.

"EVERYONE TO BATTLE!"

-TIME SKIP-

As some of the bandits retreated back up the field's, some stayed back and continued to fight. I knocked out a bandit in front of me before turning to see (Y/N), she was fighting a huge bandit. I was about to come over there and help but then I saw her punch him with her fist then slash him with her sword the next.

I opened my eyes wide at the sight, then I noticed a bandit sneaking up on her without her knowing. I then ran to her, she looked at me confused and without a word I grabbed her hand a pushed her foward stabbing the bandit in the process. The bandit then fell to the ground dead, I sighed as I let go of (Y/N)'s hand.

"Thanks Dimitri." She said I gave her a thumbs up before a bandit came running near me, I turned in his direction and fought him off. I felt (Y/N)'s back on mine as we fought the bandits that surrounded us.

I looked around to see everyone doing great, Felix and Ingrid caught my eye. They looked as they were..fighting? But they still were killing any bandits that came their way. I sighed they always fought with one another..But they still held their ground. I felt (Y/N) walk next to me, I looked in her direction to see about a dozen bandits running towards us.

I glanced at her, "Shall we?" I asked she nodded and smiled as we ran towards the bandits ready to fight back.

-TIME SKIP-

( (Y/N) POV )

As all the bandits have finally dispersed, we all cheered with victory. We had won, I smiled as everyone came walking over to me telling how great of a job I had done. I smiled at them and turned to see Dimitri helping a soilder when it caught my eye, a bandit was aiming an arrow at Dimitri.

I gasped and ran to him, "DIMITRI!" I yelled getting his attention he looked at me with suprise. I blocked him in a protecting position, and then I felt it..the arrow strike me in the back. 

I looked to see Dimitri, his filled with horror. I smiled at him "Dimitri..are you alright?" 

(Dimitri's POV)

I watched as an arrow was shot and struck (Y/N) who was standing in front of me...

"(Y/N)... " I said as she fell down I caught her and pulled the arrow gently out of her back, it hit her in a vital area on the top of her back. Blood was soaking her shirt, I held her close to me and started to feel..anger boil inside of me. Everyone started running towards us seeing what had happened, I looked up to see the bandit that shot her. He noticed me looking at him and he began to run, I gently placed (Y/N) on the ground and grabbed my spear running after him.

He was about to run into the forest until I jumped in front of him, I grabbed him by the collar and looked at him. His face was filled with fear, I took my spear and stabbed him scream in pain. I threw him on the grass as he crawled away still holding his wound, but I walked after him and held him down with my foot. I then stabbed him again..but this time it killed him.

I then turned to see (Y/N), lying on the ground.  I saw Ingrid shaking her trying to wake her up..but she just layed there her eyes still closed..

-TIME SKIP TO THE MONASTERY-

Hanneman was able to put (Y/N) in the infirmary to heal her wound. Everyone waited as Hanneman fixed up her wound, and when he finished he allowed us to see her. She didn't look the same at all, her skin that was once a beautiful tan was now a little white around the edges, her hair once beautiful was ruffled and messy, and her eyes were closed not showing her beautiful (E/C) eyes that I loved..

Hanneman sighed and turned to us, "She will live luckily unfortunately she may remain in his coma for awhile, and I don't have any medicine's that can fix this..so I will still take care of her but I will never know when she may wake up." I could feel the anger and sadness from the room..(Y/N) had risked her life..for me. I walked out of the room feeling mad with myself.

(Y/N) Could Never wake up..because of me...
