-Chapter 21-
"For the last time Tania!" I said, exasperated, throwing my head back, "I don't know what you're talking about!"
"My name is NOT Tania!" She explained, "How many times do I have to tell you?!"
"I don't care what your name is, Tamina. I only care about getting out." I said rolling my eyes and looking away from her.
She screamed in exasperation, "I am so done with you!"
"Yeah, so am I." I muttered, rolling my eyes yet again.
"We've been at this for four weeks, Corinna," Rhodey said coming in my line of vision, "If you just speak and tell us the truth, we will let you go."
Yeah, four weeks and nobody's come to rescue me.
"Oh my GOD," I exclaimed sighing heavily, "How many times do I have to tell you? I have no idea what you're talking about."
"How can you not know what you're parents have been doing?" Tammy said throwing her hands in the air.
"I already told you, they are in the council." I said for the umpteenth time.
"Your parents are not on the council." She stated.
"I think I know what my parents do." I said giving her a look of disbelief. "My parents are Xavier and Cadence Griffith. And they have been an important part of the council for the past twenty years."
"Wait, what?" Tammy asked confused, "You're a Griffith?"
"Yes, I am." I said rolling my eyes.
"I can't believe you fools are still arguing over this." Came the deep and husky voice of him.
I bit my lip and looked down at my lap as shivers scorched my spine.
Every time he comes anywhere near me, I feel this intense bond. I feel like I'm bounded to him in same way. And every time he comes anywhere near me, it gets stronger and stronger, pulling at the strings and squeezing my heart in its way.
I could feel his eyes on me as he circled the chair I was tied to.
"James, do it." He ordered, a meaning behind his words.
"Yes, boss." Came James' submissive voice and soon, I saw his feet in my peripheral vision.
I looked up as I heard him clear his throat, "What?"
"Nothing." He smirked and bended down to my eye level, "Now, this might hurt a little."
"What do you mean?" I asked, confused.
He rested his palm on my forehead and said, "You'll see."
"What ar-"
I gasped in pain as I felt as if someone was squeezing my brain. I felt as if they were trying to get inside my mind, pushing and breaking through the invisible barriers.
Clenching my eyes shut, I screamed and then I feel into the darkness awaiting me.
~~~~~~~
"Wake up."
I felt someone nudge me. Opening my eyes, I saw darkness all around me.
"Great, you're up." Came a very familiar voice from my right.
Looking to my right, I saw someone I've seen before. I pushed my memory to remember who he was and my eyes widened in realization.
"Oh, it's you!" I exclaimed.
