-Chapter 20-
I gasped and hissed in pain.
My body jerked as I received yet another hit on my back. But I refuse to show any signs of pain.
The bitch had untied me from the chair and made the two guys hold me as she tortured me. For what? I don't know.
"You are one tough cookie to crack aren't you?" She said rhetorically as she came around and stood in front of me.
"But you'll get there. They all do." She said and then she hit me again, the whip making a cracking sound as it collided with my stomach.
I doubled over in pain and coughed out blood as she hit me again.
She then went back and hit the back of my knees making me fall, the two guys still having a death grip on my hands.
"Why are you doing this?" I said with much difficulty, wheezing in pain, "I don't even know you."
"Oh but I do honey." She said nonchalantly, "And you have a lot to pay for."
"Pay for what?" I breathed out, trying to prevent my heavy eyelids from shutting.
"A lot of things actually." She said as she circled me, "Don't worry though, you didn't do us any harm. The credit goes to your parents."
"My parents?" I whispered, confused. "What did they do to you?"
I mean, I'm not surprised I'm here because of my parents. This isn't the first time I've been kidnapped because of what they did. They have a lot of enemies, them being in the council and all. It also entails that I have a target on my back 24/7 because I'm their daughter.
I was just confused as to what they did this time.
I recoiled in pain and couched blood once again as I got another hit.
She bent down and whispered in my ear, "They didn't do anything. But they will soon, for us. If they want you alive that is."
This brings back a lot of painful memories. Memories I wish I'd forget.

The eight year old girl sobbed and was in hysterics. She shrank in the chair she was tied to as much as her restrains allowed her to as she saw the scary looking man return with the painfully long and scary whip. The man was huge, his body filled with tattoos.
"P-please, please don't hurt me." She hiccuped, "I'll do whatever you want me to. I promise."
"Oh sweetheart," He pouted bending down to her level, "I know you will. It's your parents who don't listen."
"Stop crying." He ordered emotionlessly, "I already told you, if you want to survive here, you better be strong. Otherwise, you know what's going to happen."
She avoided eye contact and sniffed, trying to stop the tears streaming down her cheeks, "I-I'm sorry. I'm t-trying my best, I-I swear."
He grabbed her chin harshly, forcing her to look at him, "Look at me in the eye when I speak to you! Stop. Being. Weak. You hear me?"
"Y-yes sir." She answered in a small voice, her hiccups coming to a stop.
"What was that?" He hissed.
"YES SIR." She said, her voice loud and firm, loosing every emotion, much like his own.
"That's my girl." He grinned menacingly and turned to the guards standing outside her cell, "Untie her. It's time for her first lesson."
