A whole 365 days have passed since the "biggest break-up of the year" occurred. Rumors had died down a few weeks after the drama-filled day, though people still chose to stay away from Chenle. He went from popularity and freedom to an outcast just overnight; seeing what power his ex had honestly scares him.

Chenle had learned to become cautious of anyone who talked to him, even if it was a teacher guiding his education. He had become afraid of receiving those rude comments right to his face instead of behind his back.

Despite their agreement, Chenle and Jeongin never did end up talking again. Chenle has become so afraid of losing Jeongin, that he ended up losing him while waiting for their friendship to exist again. He'd see the boy smile wide with his friends, but once he glanced at Chenle, his smile would quickly turn into guilt.

Chenle didn't care anymore, believe it or not. The break up had numbed his feelings to the point that he doesn't want anymore ties with another person. Being alone doesn't bother him, that's what's he's used to anyways.

Though, he wouldn't mind someone attempting to befriend him.
