Adelia was walking through each room of her house adding to her list. She had redecorated the kitchen, the living room, and the main entranceway but the rest of the house had a lot of work that needed to be done.

Alpha Evert looked out of his room as two vans rolled into the driveway of the house next door. They began to unload thousands of dollars worth of lavish furniture. Soon old yet equally beautiful furniture got loaded back into the trucks and they rolled away again leaving Adelia to her home. She danced around her house removing the old hideous wallpaper that had lined the walls of the house.

Cans of paint, strips of wallpaper, stunning art and plenty of new furniture the house was finished. It only took Adelia weeks to do but she was desperate. There was something inside her that needed to strip each and every room down in order to be able to sit and take a break in the house. As Adelia walked around her freshly decorated house she realized that it was barely recognizable to the house she once knew. Adelia sat down no longer knowing what to do. She had simply lost purpose so soon.

Adelia was knocked out of her own head by her phone loudly buzzing on her lap.

"Hello, Adelia speaking, who is this?"

"Sup loser, now why are you all mopey?" Said a woman over the phone as Adelia rolled her eyes.

"I'm fine."

"No, you aren't. You are in one of those moods. You know where you do something crazy like buying an instrument and not sleeping until you have mastered it or when you buy an entire house and redecorate the entire thing as if it will completely change who you are as a person."

"Stop putting spells on me, Tamsyn. I'm serious it's getting really annoying." Shouted Adelia into her phone.

"I miss the days before I told you I was a witch and every time I put a spell on you it just made you think there was some wild ass coincidence going on."

"Tamsyn if you don't stop putting spells on me I will call your Coven's Rectrix and she has to power to punish you." The Rectrix was the leader of a witches coven that had power over the other witches. They usually followed her command to their last breath but Tasmyn wasn't one to obey the commands of the Rectrix.

The room flashed and soon a gorgeous woman appeared draped over the couch as she threw grapes up into the air that she then caught into her mouth.

"Oh please, Jadelyn has replaced Morgan as the Rectrix since Morgan died and frankly it's pathetic because Jadelyn barley has any powers. Morgan only lost the fight cause she brought Lilta back from the dead so she was drained as fuck. Jadelyn is way too scared to do anything to me cause she thinks I'm gonna steal the Rectrix title from her resulting in her death. I totally could too but I'm not going to."

"Stop fucking teleporting to me. What if I had been naked?" Shouted Adelia, shocked from her friend's sudden appearance into her library.

"Want a grape?" Scoffed Tasmyn and she threw one at her best friends forehead and the pair began to laugh and talk about their lives. It had barely been a few days since they had talked over the phone but it wasn't the same.

Alpha Evert stood with his Beta, Noah inside of the Alpha's office and the room was tense. Alpha Evert grabbed a vase and crushed it in his hands as he tried and failed to reach out to his wolf over and over again.

"Can you reach your wolf yet?" Snapped Alpha Evert. As he paced back and forth he was becoming more anxious at his lack of a wolf. Alphas often reached out to their wolves for guidance on how to run the pack. Their wolves had a deep connection with each member of the pack so without his wolf, each Alpha would feel disconnected. "Get a normal pack wolf in here and see if they are affected."

Soon a young woman burst into the room followed by the Beta. Alpha Evert needed to know if lower-ranked members of the pack were also feeling some kind of force on their wolf.

"So Cordelia I need to know if everything is okay with your wolf. Have you lost touch with her?"

"Well she has been a little bit spacy all day and I haven't been able to get in touch with her a couple of times but I definitely haven't completely lost her or anything. I can still feel her presence but I just can't feel it as much as normal."

Alpha Evert looked grim as Cordelia walked out of his office. She confirmed his initial suspicions that someone or something was attacking the power of the higher-ups of their pack. An Alpha losing his wolf would be detrimental to a pack. Not only did the wolf itself protect the pack when in wolf form but an Alpha relied on his wolf to know how his pack was feeling. His wolf had a sixth sense that warned him about dangers that could possibly be approaching.

"Call a pack meeting." Commanded Alpha Evert and his Beta sent out a text message to each pack member telling them to gather in the hall at 3'oclock.

As over a hundred people arrived at her neighbor's house it didn't fail to catch Adelia's attention. Tamsyn and Adelia watched while sipping cocktails as the house was slowly filled. Their silence was ruined as Tamsyn loudly slapped her forehead.

"OMG, I am such a fucking idiot."

"What's wrong?"

"They are a bloody pack. How did I not notice? Oh, I am so totally the reason they are calling this meeting." Laughed Tamsyn while Adelia just shrugged at her best friend. "Oh, I should explain better. So they are a pack of werewolves, right? Anyway so since my powers are dominant I often subconsciously enable them as a defense mechanism when danger is near. So my magic realized that they were werewolves and it tried to take out their wolves. That is why they called the pack meeting as they have lost their wolves. Don't worry though I returned them."

"Wait my new neighbors are a pack of werewolves."
