Epifanio sent some of his men out on the search for his wife. He tried calling her, but she wouldn't answer. He knew she had her phone with her. Problem was that she had a ghost chip in it, so he couldn't track her.
Camila had made a call out to the house earlier and made Carmen swear she wouldn't tell Epifanio that she had. Carmen, Rosario, and the others were very loyal to her because she treated them all like family. She would always help them out and they would do the same in return.
Epifanio was devastated. His plans for the evening fell apart. Isabela came home from school to see her father upset.
"Papi, what's wrong?" she asked.
"Your mother....." he said without thinking.
"Papi, look, I understand you love her, but I doubt she'll change her mind. No matter what you do. Her person has gone somewhere else. We should let it go."
Epifanio did not like what his daughter said one bit. Epifanio did not want his wife to be perceived that way by anyone, not even his daughter.
"Isabela, why don't you go put your things down and settle in, okay?" he asked, not looking at her.
"Okay."
Isabela did not regret at all what she said about her mother. That's all she saw her as. Her friends were really starting to be an influence on her. Isabela could care less about her mother, after all, she was destroying her life, right?
Camila was back at her home in Texas. Believe it or not, she actually missed him. She missed the feeling of warmth she received from him when he held her. Though she missed those things, Camila still hated him. The war of opposite emotions made her mind go blank. Camila couldn't wrap her head around anything. Worst of all, it hurt. It was painful because sooner or later she would have to make a choice if it didn't make it for her.
After a day or two, she was up on her feet having finally put her emotions behind her. Camila was working day and night to keep the business running. Odd thing was, she was losing interest. It wasn't fun anymore. It did entertain her that Epifanio was not enjoying it.
Camila had Isabela stay with her for a while, but it didn't go well. In the end, Camila started crying. She was heartbroken by the things her daughter had said to her. Isabela didn't care if what she said hurt.
