"Wait a second. How do you know what court is like in America?" Epifanio asked her.
"I uh... May have needed to help out a friend once or twice," Camila admitted, cracking a smile at Epifanio's reaction.
"Who was the one in trouble? You or your friend?"
"My friend... I'm nervous Epifanio. I don't know what to do."
"I don't know either. All we can do is hope for the best."
Epifanio was right. All they really could do was hope for the best. This was bound to ruin him. Camila felt guilty, even though she was innocent. She'd be ruining her husband's name even if she was found innocent. However, people thought differently. On the news, there was a protest outside of the court claiming that she couldn't have possibly done anything.
Epifanio and Camila were relieved for a little while, yet they still worried. Isabela was even more worried than her parents. She woke up and had a headache from hell and felt absolutely awful. She got up and stumbled to her room.
Camila walked back into the living room when she saw Isabela had disappeared. Rosario told her she had gone up to her room.
"She was very pale. She didn't look too good. I'm going to check on her," Rosario said.
Camila followed her to her daughter's room and opened the door. Isabela was on her bed squeezing the pillow as if for dear life. Rosario and Camila both rushed over to her side.
"Isabela?! What's wrong?!" Camila asked.
"I have a headache, I feel like shit, everything hurts," Isabela muttered.
Olivia suddenly walked in. She wanted to invite Isabela over with Pedro and Kique. Ever since Isabela started doing drugs they often got together to do so. It was no sooner that she walked in that they found out was going on.
"Shit Isabela, are you okay?" Olivia asked.
"NO! I'm not!" she shouted.
"Figures seeing as you haven't been coming over. You're going through withdrawals. I told you before if you're gonna stop you need to take smaller amounts over longer periods of time so you don't suffer it badly. That's how Emilia quit."
"Withdrawals?" Rosario said.
"Oops. You know what, um... I'm just gonna go," Olivia said.
Before she could get out the door, Epifanio stopped her. He'd heard what she had said and he was not happy about it at all.
"How did this come to start?" Epifanio asked.
"Epifanio! This is not the time!" Camila yelled.
"I would like to know when this happened."
"She is in pain! We need to help her not lecture her!"
