It seems like someone is flashing light on my now closed eyes. It was bright intense light. But the intensity of the light was hurting my closed eyes. It was hurting so bad that my forehead and sides of my head started to pain. I tried to open my eyes but my eyelids won’t let me to open them as it became really heavy. I brought my hand up near my face trying to block the light. I kept on trying to lift up my heavy eyelids, and finally got my eyes open. I blinked several times to adjust my retina toward my surroundings. I got up slowly into a sitting position from laying down. I looked toward the source of the light and found out it was sunrays coming from my bedroom window. I clearly don’t remember keep the windows open last night as I always covered up them with curtains when I go to sleep. I racked my brain for the information that I really did forgot to close the curtains last night.
And last night’s events started to get remembered. My talk with Marissa. The plan. Me going to the club with my sisters. Me dancing with Marissa. Drinking too much. Meeting Dominic. Alexander. Sebastian proposing to Susannah. And lastly Susannah’s worried face.
Guilty washed over me as I remember that my sister got engaged yesterday and I worried her afterwards. I scrambled up from the bed and went to the attached bathroom for refreshments.

I grabbed the towel from the rack and headed toward the shower for a warm one.
I got out of the closet wearing a teal shirt with white shorts and sandals. I let my wet hair open. But the headache got worse. I thought after a shower the pain will subside but it got worse and now my head is pounding and screaming because of pain.

I scrambled my way toward the kitchen and found Marissa sipping on coffee sitting on a bar stool by the large kitchen island. I made my way to the spot where the coffee maker was.
“Good Morning.” She said in a cheerful tone.
“Morning.” I replied as I took the kettle and filled it with water.
