Alexander's POV
"Where is she?" The red head beside me asked with a frown on her face as she sipped on her lemonade. Well here am I standing in front of the crowded fairground waiting for my girlfriend and her best friend.
"I don't know Ali." She glared at me. "I mean she should be here by now." I said scanning the crowd when a familiar figure of Arabella appeared dragging Xavier behind her. Seeing a large built man like Xavier getting dragged toward somewhere is really hilarious. I beamed up at her sight but she didn't still spotted me. When Arabella's eyes landed on mine and they immediately lite up like Christmas lights like mine. How can I not fall in love with this girl? What good deeds have I done to deserve her? I am living the happiest days of my life which sometimes feels like a sureal dream.
She immediately came toward me while the two of our best friend got stunned and frozed looking at each other. She came in front of me letting go of Xavier's wrist and circled her hands around my neck and sweetly pecked my lips. Why only a peck? I want to ravish those pink soft lips. But well we have audience and I don't want anyone else to see what's mine.
I wrapped my arms around her waist but she was fast to get out of my hold and jump at Alison, startling her, as she was busy looking at Roosevelt. But Alison recovered instantly wrapping her arms around Arabella. The girls were talking between them when the other man came up to me.
"Knight." He said extending his hand.
"Roosevelt." I shooked his hand with a stern nod. We are still on our surname turn.
"Can we go now?" Alison said wrapping her arms around Arabella's shoulder. Arabella had a cheeky look on her face. She is really up to something.
"Sure." I said grabbing Arabella's arm tugging her toward me. I wrapped my arm around her waist and we went inside. She fits so perfectly by my side. Well I'm not a huge fan of PDA but I can't help but always tuck her in my arms trying to keep her safe. I already purchased the ticket in advance.
"Here we go!" Arabella exclaimed earning laughs from everyone including me. I kissed her forehead and she looked up at me with those of her warm hazel eyes. I can get lost in her eyes forever. But I was brought back to reality by a loud cough from Alison. I looked at her and she was looking at me with a smug look on her face and an expression scream 'told you so'.
Of course she will have that look.
She was the only one who pestered me to ask Arabella out. She does know what's good for me.
I threaded my fingers through Arabella's soft dainty ones. She smiled at me and lead me to a nearby ride but stopped me making Alison and Xavier go up in front. I looked back at Arabella and saw her giving just a wink at me. Definitely some plan is going in her head. They walked a great distance when they realised that we are not following them. They looked back at us but Arabella was fast.
"We'll be back in ten minutes." she yelled at them before dragging me out with her toward where the food stall was.
"What's going on in that pretty head's of yours?" I asked stopping in front of a sweet stall. She asked the man to give her two cotton candy.
"Don't you think we should give those two some time? They look good together." She said looking over her shoulder to my best friend. I looked over and to be honest Alison was beaming and laughing after a long time. I haven't saw her this happy for a long time.
"You do realise that she has a boyfriend for you not to play cupid on her." I said slowly testing every words out of my mouth as her idea sinked in. I would be happy for her if she is happy with Xavier but I still am not much comfortable with the idea of cheating.
"But she is not married or engaged. And no I'm not supporting the idea of cheating but I am sure she isn't happy with her boyfriend. He doesn't talk to her much let alone show up to her friends. I can't just seat here and watch her being upset and gloomy, I want to see her happy!" she exclaimed with an upset expression. I do understand her. I myself want Alison to be happy.
"But we really can't force her out of her relationship can we?" I stated not asked her. She looked at me with a defeated expression and looked at her fidgeting fingers. I cupped the side of her face and brought her face up at me. She leaned in my touch threading her fingers through mine.
"Then just let imagine them as friends who enjoy each others company." She requested wispering. I nodded.
Surely we can, but do they?
Arabella's POV
After buying two cotton candys and some candied fruits we went back to our friends. They were busy talking to each other and... wait. Alison was blushing like a red tomato, laughing nervously while Xavier was smiling looking at her; more like a satisfied with himself smile. It's the first time I have seen Alison blush, she is more master at hiding every of her emotions from everyone. I think I'm right, they are good for each other.
"Hey!" I called out bringing their attention to me. They both looked at me and immediately stopped laughing, even the redness of Alison's cheeks were fading. Told ya.
"Hey, someone got a real sweet tooth." Xavier said grinning as I gave the sweet goodies to Alison. I stuck out my tongue at him and he erupted in laughter. I love my friends.
***
"I'm so tired!" I said leaning against Alexander. More like falling on him. He wrapped his arm around my waist securely. It was evening by now. We spent the whole day getting on every rides eating food strolling around.
"I need to go home." Alison murmured frowning. Xavier looked at her.
"I'll drop you home." He said offering his hand to her. She looked at his hand then back at his cerulean blue eyes. In the meanwhile me and Alexander was standing there without even daring to utter a single sound looking carefully at the scene in front of us.
"Thanks." She said placing her hand in his. I let go of the breath which I unknowingly hold in.
"We'll see you in Sunday guys! Bye!" I said hugging both Xavier and Alison goodbye then headed towards the parking area with Alexander. After finding his black Maserati among the sea of other cars we got inside the car.
"My place or yours?" He asked igniting the engine to life. The car went out of the fairground to the highway."Hmm.. yours." I said yawning. I leaned against the cool glass of the window looking out of the passing view. He grabbed my hand and slightly massaged my fingers. I gave him a small smile and drifted off to darkness.
