Alexander's POV
It was raining outside. Large drops of water falling from the sky with full force alongside the thundering. It was thunderstorm. The sky was crying as my heart was. At least the sky did had a way to show it unlike me who stayed frozen statue, since the moment the love of his life walked away. For some stupid thing I did.
'Arabella' I whispered letting my head fall toward the cool glass wall, showcasing the rain, as a painful shock ran through my body starting from my heart.
When I opened my eyes I felt like someone sucked out my soul from my body as I saw myself leaning his head on the glass wall with his hand. A woman was coming toward him with her golden brown hair left open and wrapped her hands around his waist leaning her head on his back with her hazel eyes closed.
Arabella.
He let the glass go and leaned on her touch soaking in her warmth, which made her smile in satisfaction. He turned her toward him, so that she was caged between his body and the glass wall and captured her lips in a kiss. The kiss was intense, heated with every stroke of their tongue as their hands roamed around on each others body, marking every inch of their skin with their finger tips. He hosted her up making her wrap her legs around his waist and her hands around his shoulder. He grabbed the back of her head pressing her more to the cold wall, earning a moan from her.
She broke away from the kiss, panting heavily, resting her forehead on his much more tanned one. His eyes opened to reveal a pair of cerulean blue iris instead of my usual ocean blue. I looked closely to find my whole face changed. No not only my face, it wasn't me anymore. The person who had the woman I love in his embrace was no one other than Xavier Roosevelt.
I woke with a groan sweating profusely and my blood boiling. I straighten up from my seat in my home office with the tumbler in my hand. Before I could even think anything the tumbler was shattered under my hand on the oak table with my blood pouring out with the bourbon.
***
During seven am in the morning Alison barged in my office of my office building, with me seating on the chair doing my work in my laptop.
"What's this?" she demanded pointing at my injured hand. " What the hell is wrong with you?! "
Alison was furious, but what else I could even do? I just let her go. I didn't even tried to give myself a chance to explain to her. I just let her go. After she left the job I immediately called Dominic and told her everything, and her sister Marissa was with him at that time. I still remember what she told me.
" It's her defensive mechanisms Alexander. She said all those things to hurt you because she was hurt. She would never hurt you intentionally."
It's all my fault. My alone. I should have known that fucking bitch was coming that morning. I should have never fucking listened to her brother. Now because all of that she is gone.
I was brought out from my daydreaming by the splash of water on my face. I wiped the water out of my face with my uninjured hand and glared at Alison, who was looking at me with a red angry face matching the hue of her hair, with a now emptied glass in her hand.
"You didn't answered me Alexander." she gritted out with her hand on her hip. She placed the glass back on the table with a large thud nearly breaking it.
"I don't need to explain to you." I growled out. Anyone would have been already shaking from fear but not this girl. Along side being known as the best assistant, she has another reputation for being unafraid of anyone, including me and my father. Actually it's my father's fault along mine.
