Arabella Heatherway, the youngest daughter of the most successful lawyer Gabriel Heatherway and his beautiful wife Blair Heatherway. And the youngest sister of a billionaire and owner of many hotels Matthew Heatherway. Being a daughter and sister of...
The whole wteekend flew by settling down in the apartment. Soon my first day in the New York office came.
I wore a turtle neck sheath shirt with black high waisted slacks with white pearls adoring the sides of it and black pumps. I kept my make up very neutral with nude pink lipstick and just a layer of mascara. My hair was pulled back in sleek bun. I looked at myself last time in the mirror before grabbing my purse and heading out of the apartment.

On my way out I greeted the doorman, Paul, which he responded with a curt nod. I started walking towards the offices direction which was exactly the opposite side of this block. When I got in front of it all I could think about is how tall is that building. Don't get me wrong, all building in this site, hell in the whole Manhattan is extravagantly high-rise but this goddamn building surely beat the others very much easily with it's height and ultra sleek modern look.
Wasting no time outside I went inside of the building through the sliding glass door.
"Excuse me ma'am!" the receptionist call out with a black headset on her head.
"Yes." I asked nearing the table.
"Can you please tell me why are you here?" she asked eyeing me.
"I'm a new intern over here." I said her, drumming my fingers on the sleek black marble.
"Ma'am please stop lying. Mr. Knight doesn't hire interns." She said with a laugh.
"She is with me." Alexander's voice boomed throughout the whole floor. He seem to be so much stern and cold in that grey three pieces suit with a crisp black shirt.
"And she is not lying. Yes I don't normally hire interns. Then consider she to be special and extraordinarily talented to make me hire her." He said advancing at our direction, glaring at her hard.
"I'm sorry sir. It won't happen again." she said visibly shaking.
He didn't even replied and walked away toward a direction which I assume is of elevator. I didn't wait a bit and followed him to the elevator.
We rode the elevator in complete silence, he didn't bother to make a sound while I didn't dare to make a sound.
"Alison will give you your schedule." he said before getting off the elevator and heading toward the direction of his office.
"Hey!" Alison greeted me in front of the elevator.
"Hi." I said after checking in the reception area.
"Let's get going." she said before dragging me inside.
"Sure." I said before entering a glass covered part of the floor with large cubicle covering the area. She stopped in front of a office separated from the floor by clear glass. There was a lady seated in a chair behind the monitor of her computer in her late thirties, with dark olive tone skin and chestnut brown hair pulled back in a bun.
Alison knocked on the door twice which brought up the attention of the lady inside.
"Miss Winter. May I ask what brings you here?" she said standing up from her seat.
"Mrs. Bower this is Arabella Heatherway, your new intern, and Arabella this is Elizabeth Bower, Assistant Architectural Manager. She will be your supervisor untill Mr. Maxwell comes." Alison said before going out of the place.
"Okay then Arabella. Can I call you Arabella?"
"Sure Mrs. Bower." I said smiling toward her.
"let's get started for the day." Mrs. Bower said with a enthusiastic face.
***
"So this is needed to be printed out and handed to Mr. Knight. " she said handing me a flash drive.
"Okay sure Mrs. Bower."
"Do that after lunch," she said eyeing the clock.
" In the mean time. Let's go and grab something." She said with a warm smile. I smiled back at her. She is so sweet.
After having lunch in the cafeteria in the 17th floor I headed back to 32nd floor where the CEO's office and the architecture department works.
"Hey! " someone called out from my back. I looked over my shoulder and saw a tall slender woman with midnight black hair and smooth chocolate skin jogging toward me with a latte in her hand. She has very dark brown eyes. People would easily mistake it by black. She was wearing a black shirt making her hair look very shinny like silk and white pants.
"Hi." spining to face her. She joined me standing quite a few inch taller than me.
"New recruit?" taking in a sip of her latte.
"Yes. Just a new intern. How did you know?" I said smiling.
"Your face." she said rounding the reception desk.
"Ohh." my eyebrows drew up.
"Hey Lilly stop harassing her!" Alison said coming out of her office.
"What?! I didn't! did I?" she exclaimed with her widen onyx eyes.
"No no absolutely not." I said chuckling.
"Good did you guys introduced yourself?" Alison asked
"Nope." Lilly, the girl, said poping the p.
"Okay then let me introduce you guys properly. She's Lillian Woods, the very first person you'll see in this floor. And this is Arabella Heatherway the very new intern." Alison said gesturing to both of us.
"Your brother is Matthew Heatherway?" she asked suddenly. The memories from that night are still fresh.
"Yes. But I rather not be introduced by his identity." I said with a small frown.
"I've met him only a few times, once twice, but have to say that dude is smoking hot. " Lilly said shrugging.
"Though he is married. I'm gonna give him your message." both of them started laughing. Suddenly Alison stopped laughing and looked at her phone.
"Excuse me for a second." she said excusing herself.
"So how long-" I started but.
I got cut off by a very high pitched excuse me. So much high pitched that it made my skin crawl. I looked at the direction of the source of the voice and found a woman. She has long platinum blonde hair pinned to her head in a messy bun, beautifully tanned skin and a very well took care curvy body. I would say she was beautiful if she would keep her makeup to a limit not overdo it. She was wearing a teal sparkling romper with 6 inch high heels.
God that looks painful. My subconscious said.
But her aura was very cold and arrogant just like my boss. And her face wore a mask of scowl.
