Arabella's POV
I could feel my whole body heating up from the warmness which surrounds my body like a blanket, waking me up from my deep sleep. The warmth was really comfortable, making me snuggle much more toward it. I slowly opened my eyes to find my face buried in someone's chest. Memories of last night flowed inside my brain. I removed my face from Alexander's chest and looked up to saw him looking at me through his mesmerising blue eyes. My breath hitched finding him looking at me. His face was so close to mine, that I could see the brown and green flecks of his iris. I looked away feeling the tightening of his grip on my waist. I could see the rising sun in the dark sky over my shoulder, indicating the start of a new day. I loosed my grip on Alexander and rolled over my back, careful not to fall as I was laying on the sofa with Alexander. His hand went loose around my waist as I sat up, cherishing the early rays of sun coming through the glass window.
"When did you woke up?" I asked him in a whisper, still looking at the sun. I could feel him moving behind me as he sat up leaning on the hand rest of the sofa.
"Right after you." my body shuddered hearing his oh so deep and husky sleepy voice. Need to say up close his voice is much more deep than on phone.
I nodded at him looking at him over my shoulder. His eyes were puffy and he was rubbing them. I feel so bad for him, for dragging him in my mess, my family's mess.
"I'm sorry. Again. For dragging you in hospital in the middle of the night." I said unable to look at him in the eyes. So I looked at the hospital yard instead.
"Hey look at me," he said grabbing my chin and making me face him. "stop beating yourself up. I'm happy and glad that you called me last night instead of anyone else. I would rather stay with you, spending my night without sleep, than going to my bed sleeping while you're in trouble."
He was stroking the side of my face gently making me lean on his touch more. "Thank you. For being with me." I closed my eyes absorbing in his touch. He gave a long sigh.
I opened my eyes and asked. "What's the time?"
He removed his hand from my cheek, instantly making me miss his touch. He fished out his phone out of his pocket and checked the time.
" 6:10 am." He said. " I'll call Alison to fetch me a suit."
"You wouldn't dare to disturb the poor girl at this hour." I glared at him. He laughed at me as if I just cracked a joke.
"She isn't a girl. She is much more mature than her age. And she had endured worse." he said before dialing Alison's number. Alison picked up at the very first call and they talked for a minute while stood up and stretched my body.
When he was done I faced him from standing by the window and asked. "How long do you know her?"
"Um properly? Six years. But she had been working under my dad before that, so I saw her before that." he said after thinking for a while. "She is a really good both at work and as a human." I completely agree on that. Alison is really sweet yet the strongest woman you'll ever see.
He went on, "She is one of the few best friend that I still have."
"Apart from Dominic?" I couldn't stop the smile spreading on my lips, hearing him talking about his friends.
"Apart from Dominic." He agreed with a nod.
Soon a person brust through the door of the waiting room and it was no one other than my mother.
"Mom?" I asked. Soon I was evolved in a tight hug.
"Oh my baby. Your sister-" her voice cracked up, bringing tears to both of our eyes.
