The team:The Macabre, the very opposite of the Alta Heroes. Not only are they willing to go the extra mile of killing any whom they deem unworthy of the things they have in life and those who would hurt others for whatever reason, but their history of brutally dismantling the twisted IDOE organization and nearly killing Fearmeister has really put them on the top of Fic-City's list as the most dangerous people in that world. However, The Macabre are only trying to make their home a better place free from crime, greed, and despair, at least they used to until their inability to connect with each other properly and especially their own personal problems are what lead to their eventual disbanding. Orphée Reaper wanted to have the group follow her orders in order to have them kept under control so that they don't go off the rails but this irritated Mara Mallory due to her wanting to satisfy her desires of exacting karma on those deserving of it. These two clearly didn't get along and that eventually lead to Mara leaving the team and trying to go solo until being apprehended by Ashely. This is later followed by Ivory and Gloom leaving the team due to an argument the remaining three got into which all lead to them being placed in Rebecca Snow's Brain Clinic. This was done by the Alta Heroes as they wanted to help them get better, hoping that Dr.Mackinder and the other staff members working at the facility will help them move on with their lives and start anew once they're capable enough. Their name took heavy influence through what their name means, which is disturbing and horrifying, which can strike fear into the hearts of many. I don't blame those people cause have you seen what they look like? They're clearly scary and any one on their list would most likely freeze with fear not only because of their appearances but also because of what they're capable of doing to that person.
Orphée Reaper:Darkness lives in us all. It's natural as nobody is prefect, but it only matters if we have control of that monster or not. Jennifer Fleming, more so known as the Orphée Reaper, is no exception as darkness, pain, and loneliness were the things that covered her life the most. Jennifer's transformation thanks to the psychopathy like experiments at IDOE only gave her the opportunity to use the darkness inside her to save those in need and punish those who do wrong. Leading the Macabre as a strict leader, the girl in shadows and her colleagues fought against crime and violence in a very brutal manner, going so far as to kill those who deserve it if need be. However, Orphée was the less vicious one of the group, as observed by episode eight of the main series;"Does Violence Have To Solve This Crisis?", where she spared a bunch of mean girls who attacked one of their victims, claiming they were "not worth it" in her own words. What lies beneath her apparently unfeeling demeanor, besides her methodical prowess, is her fear of ruining her relationships with the people close to her thanks to her distant, hateful relationship with her mother and the death of her father. She can also become very emotional when stressed to the max, episode ten;"Their Opposites", showcasing Jennifer crying into Jayden's arms as he comforts her over the disassembling of the Macabre, being a prime example of what happens when things get too much for her to handle mentally. Another thing to point out is her relationship with Jayden as the two are clearly dark reflections of each other, this very concept being a big inspiration for her character. After all, the two of them do draw and they're both leaders of their respective teams though Jayden is much more relaxed and able to connect with his teammates better then Orphée can. No longer focusing on trying to lead her team against all things wrong in their city, Jennifer is now focused on getting the help she needs and reconnecting with her teammates, all while hoping she doesn't ruin her newfound relationships with those closet to her.
Gloom Producer:Gloom Producer, as the name implies, invoke his tendencies to produce dark material. While making him, I took large inspiration for his mannerisms from The Crow novel, mainly its main character Eric Draven after he was resurrected. He's a very articulate and dedicated person whom uses his puppets he telepathically controls to do his bidding. Very poetic, Gloom often speaks in a very professional and artistic manner, ranging from speaking with others to his works. He's also very defensive of his puppets, as he punches an emotionally unstable Ivory for insulting them in the episode;"Does Violence Have To Solve This Crisis?", as well as becoming annoyed with Ivory's devotion to Mara. Speaking of Mara, Gloom always saw that "rabid animal", in his own words, inside of her, displaying his compete distrust of her largely thanks to his continuous witness of her violent temper. In regards to his feelings towards the Alta Heroes, he has no hatred towards them whatsoever and even wishes the best for the teen heroes. As for the Macabre, the young man understands that everyone, including him, are responsible for the disbandment of the Macabre. This is the perfect example of his humbleness and it can be found on episode twelve;"Unexpected Results From Compassionate Visits", when being interviewed by Dr.Mackinder.
Ivory Weeper:Tyler Richardson was always in the dark, not knowing what his path was in life. All he had was Stacy, his only friend and girlfriend, by his side even though her temper and impulsiveness often got them into trouble. He always wanted to be invisible everyone due to the bullying he and Stacy fought against, as well as the many failed foster homes the two of them endured. Tyler eventually found what appeared to be a new purpose in life when he joined the Macabre, turning into Ivory Weeper and joining their crusade against evil that resided in Fic-City. However, Ivory, like Orphée, only killed when necessary and was bothered greatly by Mara's brutality. He tried to keep her under control the best he could but he couldn't for much long. After the Macabre's disbanding and his placement in RSBC, Ivory is now trying to find his place in the world and move on from his pain in a healthy manner without Mara's influence. What many can learn from his character is that you shouldn't depend on people too much and that you must be in control of your life. Also, no one should try and hide themselves from others as you should allow others to help you the best that they can.
This character is one of the unique ones I've made as I just made him from a custom minifigure I created while creating this antihero team.Mara Mallory:Anger. Anger is a force of nature as it's in all of us. It's what we choose to do with that anger that defines us. The same can be said for wanting revenge. Vengeance, like rage, is a powerful and relatable desire. The need to get back at those who wronged us is normal. But, we need to keep those emotions under control, as we shouldn't allow only one or two emotions to control who we are. In fact, we should allow our minds and hearts control who we are in order to live a balanced life. Mara Mallory is the reality of what happens when someone lets their anger and lust for vengeance control their life. Born Stacy Adams, the girl whom would turn into the fighter we know and fear of faced turbulence and violence all of her life, so her temper filled tendencies do derive from her past and they didn't just appear out of nowhere. Karma played a huge role in her life as she wanted to exact vengeance on those who have wronged her and others, which she eventually does once she acquired her abilities and joined the Macabre. She wasn't a team player as she wanted to exact her karma freely and not be restrained from making her own choices in terms of fighting against the evil in Fic-City. This behavioral problem didn't sit well with Orphée as the leader of the group tried to reign her in but to no avail and the only one Mara could tolerate was Ivory, her boyfriend and only friend. It is true that the two were there for each other through thick and thin but Ivory in many ways tried to keep Mara out of trouble which didn't go well. However, her abrasive temper is what eventually ended their relationship, as well as her anger being the cause of her to be caught by Ashley and sent to RSBC for treatment. Mara Mallory teaches us the hard truth about what anger and vengeance can do to a person. Yes, she had good intentions, and, like the rest of the Macabre, wanted to help others. But, due to her instability and temperament, it eventually lead to her downfall. All we can hope is that she learns how her "karma" will not keep people safe and her anger will eventually destroy her.
