Ashely:There are many characters that exist in the fictional world looking for repentance for their sins. Ashely Stephans, the fire manipulating, strong but sweet member of the Alta Heroes, is one such character. Let's be real, we've all made mistakes we would do anything to take back. I know I have. Plus, when we made some of those mistakes, it's ether because we thought they were the right thing to do or it was so that we could feel better about ourselves. Ashely falls in the latter category and for very relatable reasons too. Born and raised as an orphan in the foster care system, as well as being raised in some awful households and being bullied at school, Ashely transformed into a mean girl in order to fit in and be someone no one hated. However, karma eventually came to punish her selfish actions and behavior where one bad day she was having made her lose everything she held on to, leaving her broken and alone. Eventually, thanks to the Alta Heroes's eventual formation, Ashely is now able to properly begin her road to redemption by helping others and the rest of Fic-City any way she and the other heroes can. For her fire powers, it's just part of her personality. She's a fiery person, that's it. In regards to how I made Ashley come to life, this character has been through many interpretations in my head while I was making her. At first, she was just that typical bad girl love interest for the character of Jayden, whom had my real name to begin with at the time and was just a cocky, arrogant kid;(I know, I was at a weird phase in my writing career but we all were), before being just a random character my fanmade Alta Heroes meet;(the team consisting of Jayden, Batman, a humanized version of Pikachu, Ashoka Tano from Star Wars:The Clone Wars, and Starkiller from The Force Unleashed video game series in case you're wondering), and now she's where I want her to be as a main character in the series. Stubborn, headstrong, and fearless most of the time, this character screams your typical tough tomboy girl. But, she's sensitive I tell ya and she's not a vicious person at all but only when someone's hurting innocent people and especially her friends, whom she sees as her new family, is when her fighting instincts take over. As stated before, Ashley's main goal besides her similar goals of helping others and the city alongside her team is trying to repent for her past as an insecure mean girl, this process being shown through her bouts of melancholy and regret over reminders that appear from time to time, this being first shown in the very first episode of the main series;"What Fic-City is", where she gives an old necklace of her's to a thief in order to save the life of a young woman in jeopardy and later speaks with Asori about how much she hated who she once was. In fact, it's even moved her to tears as shown in the eighth episode of the series;"Does Violence Have To Solve This Crisis?", where Asori and her embrace as they were reading about the Macabre as a way to stop them by getting to know them. Ashely weeps about how she feels guilty for how she treated her friends during their first adventure together but Asori reassures her that the team is there for her and they have forgiven her for her past behavior, especially Asori herself. Despite her shortcomings, Ashley is a caring and witty person, always wanting to be there for those closest to her and for the innocents of Fic-City. To some, it's just who she is but for her, it's her ultimate redemption.
