Hours later, the Starks were lined up in the courtyard of Winterfell, watching the open gates as the sounds of horses grew nearer. Adaya stood between her husband and Sansa, her hand laying gently on her stomach under her heavy cloak.
Suddenly, she saw the first horse, which was followed by another. Then another. Before the girl knew it, she saw King Robert riding through the gates, a carriage following close behind.
The whole courtyard knelt down, including the Stark family. Adaya kept her head down as she heard the heavy man dismount his horse and approached Ned. The king ushered him up and Eddard rose, followed by everyone else in Winterfell.
"Your Grace." Lord Stark said, bowing his head respectfully.
"You got fat." Robert retorted, a serious look on his face. The two men soon started laughing before the stepped forwards and hugged one another. They chuckled before pulling away. The King turned to Lady Stark. "Cat!"
"You're Grace." She replied as the king hugged her.
He stepped away from the woman and looked back to Ned. "Nine years. Why haven't I seen you? Where the hell have you been?"
"Guarding theNorth for you, your Grace." Eddard replied.
"Where's the imp?" Adaya heard Arya ask as the adults kept talking about something. The young girl's curiosity brought a smile to her face.
"Will you shut up?" Sansa hissed at her sister.
"Who have we here?" The king asked, drawing Adaya's attention back to him. He was looking at the girl's husband now, reaching his hand out to him. "You must be Robb."
Robb didn't speak, just nodded as he shook Robert's hand. When they released one another, the heavyweight man looked to Adaya.
"You must be the lovely southern girl I've been hearing so much about; Adaya Tyrell. Or Stark, I suppose." The king held out his hand.
Adaya smiled at him and placed her hand in his, which he brought up to his lips and kissed respectively. As he did so, the Stark girl's cape fell a little ways from her body, showing off her belly.
King Robert noticed as he released the girl's hand. He looked to Robb then back to Adaya. "Congratulations." He told them before he continued down the line, examining all of the Stark children.
Adaya looked over and locked eyes with her husband, who gave her a soft smile. She smiled back before they both turned towards the queen, who was approaching the Stark parents.
Ned took the Queen's hand and kisses it lightly. "My Queen."
"My Queen." Cat said, curtsying gracefully.
"Take me to your crypt." Robert spoke suddenly, standing near the end of the line of Starks, closest to Bran. "I want to pay my respect."
"We've been riding for a month, my love." The queen spoke up, her voice seeming to be cold as ice. "Surely the dead can wait."
"Ned." The king said before disappearing, heading in the direction of the crypts. Edward Bowes his head to the queen before following Robert.
Catelyn spoke up. "Sansa, why don't you show Princess Marcella to her chambers. Help her get settled in before the feast tonight."
"Yes, mother." Sansa said before walking over to the princess. She curtseyed and said a few things before the two younger girls walked off.
Robb turned to his wife. "You relying alright, love?"
Adaya nodded slowly. "Yeah. I'm just a little tired."
The boy nodded before turning to his mother. "I'm going to go take Adaya to lie down. We will meet up with you and father later tonight."
"Just don't be late, Robb." Cat said sternly.
"Never." He said before turning to the queen, bowing slightly. "Your Grace."
With that, Robb and Adaya headed back to their chamber, hoping to get a few hours of sleep before the festivities started.
Author's Note
Bad author. Bad author. Bad. Author.I haven't updated in ages and I'm really sorry. I've been kind of wrapped up writing my other stories, that I forgot about updating for this one.
Also, the website I'm using to get the scripts is really confusing cause it doesn't say which character says what and sometimes doesn't put spaces in between different characters speaking. It hurts my head to read. So, if you have a website you know of, LET ME KNOW. IM BEGGING YOU LOL.
^^ This is what I'm working with and it's not ok.
Anyways, hope you liked this long awaited part.
