On top of a small hill, Adaya sat atop her white steed, Robb and Roose Bolton mounted next to her. Lyanna, who had grown quite a bit in the past three months, sat leaning against her father's chest. Down below, the northern army advanced down the road.
"We should set the siege lines a thousand yards from Harrenhal." Roose advised as they inspected the burned keep in the distance.
"There won't be a siege." Robb told the older man. "The Mountain can't defend a ruin."
"I imagine the Mountain will defend whatever Tywin Lannister tells him to defend."
Adaya sighed, shaking her head gently. "Why would the Mountain even want to keep such a place as Harrenhal? What use would Tywin have with such a castle?"
"A place in the North to retreat to?" Roose questioned.
"A bloody ruin. He won't waste men defending a blood ruin."
Robb smirked hearing his wife's words, but Roose spoke before he could. "You're learning, my Queen."
Adaya smirked in pride as Robb finally spoke. "The Lannisters have been running from us since Oxcross. I'd love a fight. The men would love a fight."
"I don't think we're going to get one." Roose told him as the three started walking their horses down the small hill to join the army.
They arrived at Harrenhal shortly after, riding through the gates of the abandoned keep. All around them, scattered in the courtyard and along the walls, were hundreds of bodies, Lannister and Northmen alike.
"Two hundred Northmen slaughtered like sheep." Rickard Karstark sighed as he surveyed the area.
Roose spoke up next. "The debt will be repaid, my friend. For them and for your sons."
"Will it? They rot in the ground while their killer runs free."
"The Kingslayer won't remain free for long. My best hunters are after him."
"Will the both of you stop bickering?" Adaya snapped, causing the two lords to turn to her. "The two of you sound like squabbling children."
Without waiting for a reply, the woman dismounted her horse and started walking to where she saw Robb, still holding his young daughter, and her mother by law standing.
The king turned as he heard the girl approaching. He took a moment to look around and saw his men looking at him with doubtful eyes. Robb turned back to his mother and shouted to his men. "Find her a chamber that will serve as a cell."
A Stark soldier approached Cat as she looked down. Taking the woman's arm, the soldier led her away as Adaya walked over to Robb.
"She's your mother." The girl said softly to him.
"She freed Jaime Lannister." Robb reminded his wife. "The Lannisters robbed them of their sons and she robbed them of their justice."
Just then, a dry and painful cough erupted from a man who was presumed dead, shocking the king and queen. Robb handed Lyanna off the Adaya as he rushed towards the man, Talisa appearing by his side a moment later.
"Water." The injured man said weakly. "Water."
Adaya walked forwards, handing Robb the waterskin a nearby soldier had given to her as Talisa addressed to the man's injuries. "This needs to be cleaned and closed."
Robb helped the man take a few drinks of the water before speaking. "What is your name, friend?"
"Qybern." He said, his voice not as scratchy, but just as weak.
"You're lucky time be alive." Talisa said she she started cleaning his wounds.
"Lucky?" The man questions as the nurse treats him, causing Adaya's heart the shatter slightly.
The man was speaking as if he wished to had died.
