I watched the clock as minutes ticked away. Three more minutes until I could escape from my boredom. "ALEXANDER!" Someone had hissed my name.

I turned to my left and saw Megan Hoover was the one who said my name. "What?" She motioned her head forward. Mr. Baker was looking at me, his arms folded and his eyes glaring straight at me with eyes that could kill.

"So Mr. Hudson, what is the answer to this equation." He asked with a bit of resentment laced in his voice.

I took one quick look at the quadratic equation and answered. "X equals twenty four." The teacher gave me a quick smirk and opened his mouth to say I was wrong but then realized I wasn't. Mr. Hudson paid no more attention to me and went back to writing on the ActiveBoard.

I placed my books in my bag as the bell was about to ring, and finally it did. I stormed out of the class and Megan close by. "Nice save back there." She elbowed me in the gut.

"Thanks, for getting my attention and the compliment I guess." There was a bit of silence before I broke it. "Are you going to the concert tonight?"

Megan brushed away her light brown had and revealed her crystal blue eyes, something I could never look away from. I didn't have any feelings for Megan in that aspect but she is the second most beautiful girl in the school. My thoughts were then interrupted. "Yeah, my parents want me to go see my brother play and all. So I guess I'll see you there then."

"Alright great, meet me after the concert."

"Sounds good Alex." She winked at me before she turned to the right to head to her class while I went to lunch.

"Stop staring at her ass man." I looked to my left and saw my friend Dan glaring at her instead of me.

"Yeah, says the guy who's literally drooling. That's attractive." I retorted back. Dan has had a crush on Megan for the past four months and still hasn't told her. I couldn't blame him thought, guys do get nervous. But I keep thinking he should be more confident about himself, he wasn't a half bad looking guy.

Dan Maze is about 6' 6" and weighs about 190 with a strong looking face and a muscular body. He also had dark brown hair and, as most girls described it, 'enchanting brown eyes'.

"I am not drooling, that was an excess of saliva." He said sheepishly.

"Okay, you've got to stop." I answered back as we both entered the cafeteria. Most of the students had already entered and sat down but there was around four hundred people, no one really paying attention to anyone else besides the people they were talking to.

I took a seat between my two friends at the long lunch table. Harver to my left and my other friend Lee to the right. James, my best friend sat diagonal of me saying his ritual of dumb things, while Dan sat in front of me. Another of my close friends sat diagonal of me to the right, Zack. He was just as tall as Dan and was smarter and probably the most wanted guy in the school. Well at least in our grade.

"Hey guys," I nodded towards my friends and joined into the conversation between James and Harver, talking about another one of Harver's unsuccessful relationships. "Well when you usually say that you sleep at one PM on a Friday, she's kind of getting the hint."

"Shut up man, I don't see you with any girls." Harver shot back. It was the truth actually. I just wasn't interested in going out with anyone right now, except one person was making me rethink that idea. However, Marley, my sister, says that most of the girls in her grade drool over me. Marley was a sophomore in high school, me being a year older, but some of the girls were attractive in her grade, I just wasn't interested. The thing that bothered me the most was that she had a bet going on with the girls that liked me. If anyone beats her, or Lee, in a race I'll have to go out with that girl. That's how I first found out about the bet and I just prayed that Lee and my sister would not fail.
