I peered through the little slit in the fabric to see the outside world. Just outside were three vehicles, one four door car in the middle, two trucks just in front and in the back.
Three people got out of the car in the middle while two others slipped out of the trucks: all male. "Who are they?" I whispered, expecting Xavier to actually know.
"I'm gonna take a guess and say looters, they don't seem pleasant based on their looks." Xavier was right about that. They all wore rag tag clothing, blood smeared on their pants and shirt which was almost as frequent as the number of tears in their clothing.
As I kept looking through the window I noticed a young looking man, a bit older than me, head to the trunk and open it up. He pulled out a Caucasian girl around the same age as me with a gag in her mouth and a white piece of cloth tied around her hands.
"God damn rapists." Xavier muttered to himself. "Stay here and watch them." With that Xavier made his way around the corner, probably back to the living room.
Six of the seven men withdrew crude looking weapons, which were basically just sharp items taped together. I felt a tap on my shoulder and turned around to see Xavier handing me my Osprey pistol. "Holster that for a second." He whispered. Then Xavier slipped an assault rifle from his back and handed it to me.
"It's a DDMA MK18 Carbine Rifle with ACOG sight and a suppressor. It can be switched from a one shot burst, to three shot burst, or too fully automatic." I grabbed the carbine and felt the weight in my hands, it was heavier than any gun I shot before. "But be careful when using the full auto option, the kick is pretty brutal. Oh! And before I forget, are you a Dead Trigger?" I gave Xavier a confused look.
"A what now?" I whispered back.
"Oh yeah, Dead Trigger means you don't know how to fire a gun." He responded.
"Yeah I've shot a gun before, the biggest gun I ever fired was an AR-15." I answered.
"Alright good," Xavier said, while looking out the window. "Is there anyway to get to the roof from the inside?"
"Yeah," I started. "I'll show you." I stayed crouched and had Xavier follow me up the stairs. We moved quickly but quietly until we reached my sister's room. I opened the closet door very slowly, just hoping that it wouldn't creak. I motioned for Xavier to come in and pointed upward. "Just above that little hatch there's another one about five feet forward, that one leads to the roof."
Xavier nodded and adjusted his sniper on his back. "Alright listen, you know we have to get that girl away from those men."
I nodded my head in response. "So you're going to have to take a life." Immediately I felt an enormous knot in my stomach start to form.
"What..." My mouth was extremely dry. I had difficulty in trying to want to kill a Walker, then how could I possibly kill a person, a living breathing person. "I don't know if I could do that."
"Alexander I don't want you to do anything you're not comfortable with but that girl is your age and is being raped by seven men. We can't just let that go on and I can't take them all on by myself and keep that girl alive." Xavier said. "Please, I need your help."
I eyed the carbine rifle in my hands and clutched it harder. Xavier was right, even though it wasn't right to take someone's life, you sometimes just had to do it to protect someone else. That's what Xavier was taught his entire life and he was much younger than me when he had to kill. That girl didn't deserved to be raped, no one should go through something like that. Xavier was right, and I could feel the anger boiling up inside me.
"Okay, what's the plan?" I asked.
"Atta boy." Xavier said as he tapped me on the shoulder. "So this is how it's going to have to go down."

I stayed as close and as low to the house as possible as I made my way to the bush directly in front of me. I adjusted my MK18 against my shoulder and looked through the ACOG sight, marking the crosshair onto the head of the boy hold the girl.
I quickly just scanned the area to make sure no Walkers were coming. I saw one down the road, it was far enough that it wouldn't cause a problem. Then I heard a bird chirping above me. That was the signal telling me that Xavier was in position. I returned his call with a quick whistle, none of the rapists noticing.
Three men had entered the house just in front of mine and were probably clearing it for the night. The other four were near the cars keeping watch, two by the first truck and one at the last truck. The boy holding the girl was leaning against a lamp post with the girl right by his side, still tied up.
"Rapists by the truck!" Xavier called out. Immediately they all sprung up from their relaxed positions, readying their weapons while that young boy grabbed the tied up girl once more. "Ah ah ah! Put your weapons down right now and tell your buddies to come out of the house. If you decide not to, well it won't end up well for you."
"Guys! Come on out!" The rapist near the last truck called out. Three men with pistols slowly made their way out with their guns drawn.
"Now drop your weapons!"
"Where are you?! Let me see your face coward!" Then a slight ping went off and the man who just spoke hit the ground hard.
"Anyone else want to make his mistake?" Xavier spoke. Now the rapists dropped their weapons and rose their hands, except the boy hold the victim. He still had his knife placed at her throat and was holding her close. "Dude drop your weapon or my friends will drop you." Xavier warned. Even though I was the only one to back him up I guess he was bluffing his way through this.
"You think your friend is a good enough shot?!" The boy started to laugh, it was an evil laugh. He threatened to slit her throat by placing it closer to her neck. "Don't te-" He was cut off by a bullet. I had pulled the trigger and watched it plant itself inside his head.
Adrenaline was pumping through my body and took another shot at the man at the last truck. He dropped stone dead and suddenly I heard more gun shots. Except all of them were from Xavier. In less than twenty second he had dropped four men, all of them laying in a pool of their own blood.
"Alexander go! I'll cover you." I stayed crouched and started checking the surrounding area. I saw two Walkers making their way towards me, but soon collapsed as a bullet slammed into their brain's.
I went around the car and went to the girl. She was wearing an all white dress with a few blood stains and tears. "Are you alright?" I asked.
She just nodded her head slightly. I looked at her emerald green eyes, terror was evident in those eyes. I brushed away a brown strain of hair from her face and wiped out the blood stains from her face.
"Please... Help..." It was one of the rapists. A bullet had hit just below his neck, blood exerting out. I could barely see his face in the dark but I knew he had those puppy dog eyes. I wonder how many times this green eyed girl had begged for help yet it never came, until today.
"Shut up!" Xavier came walking over and jammed his knife into the man's skull. "Animals..." When Xavier turned to me I saw anger in those eyes, unlike any I have seen before. Something told me this affected him somehow, right now wasn't the time to ask though.
Xavier walked over and crouched next to me. His rubbed his hands through his hair and took a deep breath. "You know they would've came back if we let them live."
I just nodded my head and looked back at the girl, checking to make sure she wasn't bleeding. "What's your name?" Xavier asked, tenderness in his voice.
"Ariel... Ariel Baker."
"It's very nice to meet you Ariel, we're going to take care of you now." For a second you could see a little bit of fear flash through her eyes.
"We're not going to hurt you," I began. "I promise. Once we get you cleaned up and your strength is back you can stick with us or you can leave. We just want to help."
"Thank you." Ariel responded.
