I spun around and saw a Walker making its way towards me, it's arms waving around and stumbling. I slipped out my knife and rammed the blade inside of its skull. Blood oozed out as it fell to the ground with a thump.
The Walkers outside wouldn't be a problem as long as the glass and door held. However long that would be, but I didn't want to be here to find out.
I walked around the general store a bit and gathered what ever supplies I could find. After about five minutes of searching I found three first aid kits, batteries and flashlights, and ten cans of food. At least it wasn't a total loss getting stuck in here.
The sound of the Walkers started to die down but that didn't mean they weren't outside. The fact that a small horde might be out there wasn't my idea of fun. I remember seeing a door in the back, but I didn't know where that led of if any Walkers were out back. But what other choice did I have?
I readied my Osprey and pressed my ear against the door, I could hear the moaning of one Walker. "Let's do this." I whispered to myself. I rushed out the door and immediately took a shot at the Walker on my right, then turned to the left and saw nothing.
I looked down the alleyway and started to run as fast as I could down. Just as I reached the end, there was another alleyway leading back to the road I was on before. Thankfully, I could see a car just in the distance. It looked perfectly untouched and hopefully, there would be gas.
I placed my pistol back and held my MK18 in my hands, while looking through the ACOG scope to see any Walkers in the area. I peeked around the corner and saw that horde that chased me into that store. None of them had left, they just moved away from the window.
Crouching down, I quickly made my way over to a trash bin. As I got into a better position I noticed that some of the undead were behind the car I wanted, nothing came easy. I peeked over the bin and made sure none of the Walkers were looking this way, then I ran over to the car.
I kicked down one infected to the ground and opened the passenger door. I scooted my way over to the driver's seat and started searching for the keys. By now three Walkers had surrounded the car which I could not use. I did not think this through. I opened the glove compartment and spotted a gold pair of keys.
"HAHA! Yes!" I placed the keys into the ignition ad listened as the car hummed to life. I rolled the window by my side for a bit and grabbed my pistol. I fired two rounds, killing two Walkers. Then suddenly the car died. I looked at the fuel tank and saw that it was on 'E'.
"Dammmmiiitttt!" I whined to myself. "Can't I catch a break?!" I opened the door and started to run forward, maybe I could make my way around and then back home.
I had no watch on but I could tell that it was way past noon, Xavier is going to be mad. As I rounded the corner, Walkers peppered the street in little packs of three or four. And there were at least ten groups. I ran directly behind me and decided I might have to shoot my way through this, not the best idea, but my only option.
I kept on running and I could hear the growling of the Walkers as they started to focus on me. This situation wouldn't be so bad if I didn't feel exhausted. Running around with this bag and heavy gun wasn't exactly easy. Suddenly I heard the roar of a car coming from the corner, my first instinct was to hide, but what if it was Xavier.
A truck came into view with a sentry gun strapped to the back, and they didn't look to friendly. The man behind the gun swiveled towards me and I instantly dove behind a blue mailbox. I heard gunfire go off and then the sound of bullets colliding with the thin sheet metal.
I blind fired my rifle which got the shooting to stop for bit, this was my chance. I rushed into the nearest building, which was right next me, and slammed the door shut. I ran up the stairs and took a position just behind the corner of a wall and aimed my rifle.
The gunfire from the gun was relentless. "You better come out you sonofa-" One of the men was talking but was abruptly cut off. The sound of bullets leaving the chamber stopped for a second, then resumed. Except none of it was centered at the bundling I was in due to the fact that I didn't hear any bullets collide with the door or wall.
Everything then stopped. Gunfire, the growling of the Walkers, it was just completely silent. Suddenly the door burst open and I felt my finger closing in on the trigger but stopped myself.
