*Cams pov*
I don't know why I hugged her. I really was just going to shake her hand but at the last second I just did it. She is so pretty. The way her long dark brown hair came down to the bottom of her back and the ways her eyes sparkled when she looked at me. Even though she barely even did. Why was that? I wondered. I never really had much of a problem with girls but why was Cassie being so different? I know I just met her and maybe she's just shy but all it did was intrigue me more. I knew I wanted to get to know her better. "So I guess I will see you soon?" I asked her.
"I guess.. you're our new neighbor right?" she wondered.
"Oh no, haha. I'm not, but actually I kind of am". I explained. She turned her head in confusion. I laughed because it was actually really cute. "What do you mean?" she asked.
"That's my best friend Chris's house. He lives next door, but I'm always over there. We're basically like brothers." I said.
"Oh okay, I gotcha." she said as she started putting her hair up into a bun. I didn't want to leave but she looked like she was ready to unpack and I knew I had Chris waiting.
Should I ask for her number? What if she turns me down? After all she is kind of being shy right now. I don't know. "So do you think we could exchange numbers?" I went for it anyway. I knew she was thinking about it because she took a few seconds to answer back. "Umm... I don't know..." she replied.
I received that sort of hesitation like she wanted to but had a reason to say no. "Oh.. I'm sorry if you're seeing some body. I didn't know." I said feeling defeated. "No, I'm not. I just... I mean, I guess we can. Here." she said while handing me her phone. I smiled. For a second there I thought she wouldn't. Man. Why was this girl so much harder than the rest of them? I guess because she's so beautiful. She truly is. I handed her my phone while I took hers and put in my number and she did the same. "Thanks" I told her smiling. "Haha, it's cool" she said returning her pretty smile.
"Do you need help with any other boxes?" I asked. "No, it's fine. I think we got it, but thanks anyway." she answered.
"Okay, well I think I gotta run. Chris doesn't even know I left so I should probably go tell him I'm okay." I told her. She nodded. "Bye Cassie, don't be afraid to text me later" I said smiling on the way out. She chuckled and said bye back as she waved me away.
