Chapter 18

*Cassies pov*

Cameron and I were sitting at his kitchen table eating pizza and I just had this weird feeling on me. I wasn't sad, but I felt sad if that makes sense. I just couldn't seem to shake that pizza girl off my mind. I know Cameron said its nothing to worry about because he has me, but that doesn't keep me from wondering still. I want to ask him about her and why he acted so weirdly but he said not to worry about it. I guess we'll talk about it another time. As I went to take another bite I heard Cameron clear his throat. As I looked up at him he began to speak. "What are you thinking about?" he asked me. "Oh nothing.." I said brushing it off.
"Oh come on Cassie, I know you too well. What's wrong?" he asked while reaching his hand out to grab mine across the table.
"That pizza girl.. I know you said not to worry about her but it keeps bugging me. I know you said she's a girl you used to go to school with but I can tell it's more. You wouldn't even look her in the eye Cam."
When I said that he sighed.
"She's my ex girlfriend"
"What?" I said pulling back my hand from his.
"We dated for 9 months, my longest relationship. The bad part about it is it was all a lie."
"What do you mean all a lie?" I asked curiously.
"She was a liar and a cheater"
"She cheated on you?" I asked even more curiously.
He didn't say anything. He just nodded and looked down.
"Oh my gosh Cam I could never do that to you" I said but then remembering that we don't even date I went to take it back because I felt stupid.
"I mean even though you're not my boyfriend.."
"Yet" He said cutting me off giving me a side smirk followed by a wink.
Gosh he's such a tease, now all I'm going to be worried about is when he's going to ask me out.
"Right... speaking of which, my mom wants to meet you"
"Wow no pressure there" he said sarcastically.
"I'm sorry Cam, I've been putting it off because I didn't know how you would feel about it but she's persistent and.."
"Hey" he said interrupting me by resting his hand over my cheek.
"I'd love to meet your mom" he said smiling. Wow, you would think that this being the millionth time I've seen his smile I would stop getting butterflies but they tend to grow more each time.
I smiled back and he looked into my eyes and went right passed them placing a kiss on my forehead. "Great, so let's go meet her!!" Cameron said excitedly jumping out of his chair and running upstairs. "What are you doing?!" I yelled up at him. I saw his head pop out by the staircase.
"You didn't think I could go meet your mom looking like this did you?" I laughed as he walked down a few steps and reached out his hand waiting for me. I grabbed it. "Come on, I can use your great sense in style picking something out" he said bringing me up to his room.

We walked up the winding stairs leading us to a huge bedroom. "Cam you're room is huge!!!" I nearly screamed. He just laughed. I started wondering how he got such a big home to live in. "What does your mom do if you don't mind me asking?" I said. "What do you mean?" Cam asked as he walked to his closet. I walked more into the room and sat on the end of his King sized bed. "Like what does she work for?" I said looking around the amazing room I was sitting in. "Oh haha, she's just a nurse, but if you're asking how we got this home.."
"Well no that's not what I meant" i hurriedly said.
"No cass, it's alright" he said walking over to me on the bed and sitting down next to me. He continued, "I helped with it some. You see, my dad left when I was little so he was hardly ever around, and certainly not around to pay bills or pay.. anything of the matter. So I decided being the man of the house I had to take some responsibility and find a job. I've had people from different model agencies come up to me before asking me to sign with them but I always passed on the opportunity. When I saw we needed help I decided to go back and take the jobs. They pay well, and what can I say? They definitely needed this body" Cameron said pulling up his shirt but letting it go as i playfully slapped his hard stomach signaling to continue. "And so anyway long story short, that leaded to another and I got into acting."
"How come you've never told me any of this?" I asked.
"Well it's not really something I wanted to open with, 'Hey my sorry excuse of a father left my family and I had to take over' besides, you didn't know who I was when we met and it was relaxing. I got to talk to you being just me and not 'Cameron Dallas' it's hard to find a girl that I like now a days without them using me."
That made me feel good. "Aw Cam, of course I like you for you, and I wouldn't have it any other way" I said smiling.
"Me either" he returned the smile and placed his hand on my inner thigh while giving me a quick kiss.
"Now, let's see what ya got!" I said jumping up and heading to his closet.
"Well, what should I do? Go with the 'Hi, I really like your daughter and want to be her boyfriend' black suit look, or the.."
"I don't see why you're even looking really, I like what you have on." I said cutting him off. He looked down at what he was wearing.
"But Cassie.. I'm wearing a grey vneck with khaki pants and vans.."
"Which is exactly you right?" I said.
"I mean I guess but it's not really impressive.."
"What you're wearing isn't going to impress her Cam, she wants to meet you for you. Why do you look nervous?" I asked as I saw his face start to get white.
"I really like you Cass, I don't want to mess this up. I've never met a mom that I cared for her daughter this much before" I walked over to him wrapping my arms around his waist and looking up. "You're going to do fine, just be you and she'll love you. I promise, you have nothing to worry about" I said kissing him on the cheek to assure him. He looked down at me giving me a soft sweet kiss on the lips, making sparks fly every where. "Let's go" he whispered, leaning down, grabbing my hand, and giving me one last kiss before leaving.
