Hey guys sorry I didn't post last week, I know, I'm already screwing up but I was really busy 🥺♥️ ALSO look at the results for this hawking quiz I took. What the hell?! I'm not completely e-girl am I?! I like to think I'm 'soft-emo' as I like to call it. Yeah, I wear winged eyeliner but that doesn't prove anything!!

We pull up to the school and I look at my phone to see 2 missed calls and a text from Betty. "Oh...crap." I say as I rush out of the car after looking at the message. "What??" Jughead asks also getting out.

"Uh...Betty brought Polly to school. I told her that I would help, I don't know-" "babysit?" "Hey...watch it Jones. But...yes basically." I say and he smiles rolling his eyes.

I walk into school and see Betty across, "I'm assuming this is where we split?" Jug says leaning in, beside me. "Unfortunately..." I say smiling slightly before Jughead pulls me in, and kisses me slowly.

"Gross. Get a room, closet monsters." Cheryl says as she walks by and I sigh. "See you after 2nd period?" I say, "can't wait." He says and I walk away with a smile of my face.

I giggle as I walk towards Betty and Polly, I'm so lucky to have such an amazing boyfriend. Like...oh my god, how? How the hell is he real??

"Hi!!" Betty says as I walk up, I smile. "So...you and Jughead Jones are...adorable!" Polly says, "Oh! Uh...thanks!" I say laughing awkwardly. "You guys really are..." Betty says excitedly, but I could hear the slight sadness in her voice.

"Thank you...Betts. Really. Thank you." I say quietly while very obviously blushing. "Of course f/I.(We haven't done that in so long so I'm just reminding you guys that it means 'first initial' by the way :p) you can really tell you guys love each other." Betty says, "Yeah..." I say still smiling.

"Uh...so! Since it's Polly's first day back...I was thinking we would walk her to her classes..make sure there aren't any issues." Betty says happily. "Sounds perfect." I say smiling.

I walk into the lunch room and see Veronica and Jug sitting next to each other. I walk over and sit on the opposite side of Jug from Veronica. All the sudden Cheryl walks up with a couple things in her hands.

"Jughead...I'm sorry. I had no right to pummel you the way I did that day. As recompense, is like to give you this." Cheryl says, with an overly nice tone. She hands him something red but I couldn't really see. "My iconic spider broach." She says.

I look over at Jughead with a confused look and he has the same one on his face. "It'll catch a pretty penny at the local pawn shop. Enough to keep you in burgers and 's' tee shirts for years. If not decades." She continues. Before we could speak she begins again.

"And Y/n. I feel nothing but shame after being such a bitch to you for so many years, and as a gift I'm giving you this." She hands over a cheerleading uniform.

"I know the cheerleading scene isn't necessarily yours, but I've watched you dance at many school dances and you're...amazing to say the least. I had always thought of recruiting you but I had never actually followed through. The vixens would be honored to have you on the squad... and I would be the utmost grateful if you would at least give it a shot." She says quickly.

"Cheryl I-" "Guy's, hurry. It's Betty and Y/n's lockers." Kevin says running over. Me and Betty has petitioned last year to be able to choose where our lockers were because we wanted ours right next to each other. Of course the school caved and our lockers were put next to each other.

When we weren't friends for a while we usually went to our lockers after different periods to avoid each other but now we were able to just..be..again.

"Come on, its bad." He says grabbing my hand as everyone follows. We run through the cafeteria, grabbing Archie along the way. I push through the crowd of people surrounding our lockers. Betty's article and pictures of me simply sitting at the whyte wyrm were placed all over our lockers.

The words 'Go to hell serpent sluts' plastered across them. In front of that is two dolls with nooses tied around the throats. I feel myself beginning to tear up and I go to tear down the articles and pictures, along with Betty. Jughead grabs me before I can and Kev grabs Betty.

"Let go Kevin!" Betty yells. "Yeah! It's just some jackass with some paint!" I yell, trying to escape Jughead's grasp. "Y/n, hey, I don't think that's paint." He says as he grab me tighter pulling me away from the crowd.

Snowflakes fall around as me and Jughead walk to the jeep. I had to park farther away because of the snow. "As long as your with me...troubles just gonna keep coming at you from all sides..." Jug says as we walk. "No, Jug. This was my fault. I was foolish thinking I could keep everything under-wraps. It had nothing to do with you." I say.

"Yeah but, listen. In order for someone to find you on the Southside from Riverdale high they would've probably had to have been following you. And why would they follow you? Me. That's why. I'm...the problem. My dad being in jail...it's just gonna continue to harm you" "Jughead. It was one person." I say quickly.

"Yeah, but no. It's not just one person anymore. It's Mayor McCoy. It's...Sheriff Keller. It's Weatherbee. Social Services, it's the entire multiverse telling me that I don't belong here, so why don't I just everyone a favor and-" "Hey! Hey...Jug" I say stopping and turning to him.

I wrap my arms around his neck and rub the back of his head with my fingers. "You belong here, Jug. I mean...just as much as everyone else does. You need to be here...with me. This is your home. Screw everyone else!!" I say and smile.

"You know that right? This is your home..." I say, my voice getting quieter. "Yeah..." He says, trying to smile through his obvious sadness.

"Plus! Maybe....being a River vixen will help the hate.." I say quietly trying to walk ahead of him but he runs up right away. "Wait- you're listening to Cheryl?! You're gonna join the squad?! What happened to cheerleading being slutty and overrated?!" He asks smiling.

I smile back, "I don't know...?! I thought, maybe I'd try it...but if you don't think I should I won't I mean it's not super important to me or anyt-" Jughead cuts me off by laughing, grabbing my face and slamming his lips into mine.

"You're not mad? Or disappointed..?" I ask, "Are you joking?! I love the idea! I mean not only do I think you'll be happier and it might give you a distraction, I get to see you dance around in that uniform." Jughead says smirking and wrapping his arms around my waist.

"Forsythe Pendleton Jones the Third!!" I yell in shock and he laughs. "Come on you perv!" I grab his hand and we run to the Jeep together, escaping the cold.

We get home and Jughead runs to the couch, throws off his beanie, and turns on the tv. I laugh and shake my head as I walk to the kitchen and make two hot chocolates. I walk in and hand one to Jug.

"For you my love." I say and smile, pecking his lips. "Aw...thanks Y/n..." he says, cupping his hands around the drink.

"So...my foster parents want to meet me today. I think social Services will be there too. I'm not sure what's gonna go done but I know I'm not looking forward to it." He says sighing. I scoff.

"I don't get it. I don't understand why you can't just stay here. You've been living here for a while and it's never mattered before." I say angrily, "Yeah, the system is broken babe!" He says, sitting up and facing me, grabbing my hands.

"I don't get it either...But I know that whatever they throw at us, whatever obstacles they put us through...we're strong. We will get through it. We're Y/n and Jughead...one cant simply exist without the other." He says.

I don't respond. "..Right..?" He asks... "I've truly never heard a more 'right' statement." I say. A tear falls down my face and Jughead wipes it away. He cups my face and brings it closer to his, I stare at him for a second before being interrupted by his lips pressing into mine.

He stops and we press our foreheads together.

"Nothing has ever felt more right than you, Jughead Jones."
