I got home from hanging out with my friends after the pep rally. For some reason Jughead once again had said that he didn't need me to drive him home because he was gonna stay at pops for a little while longer. "Mom..?" I shouted as I walked in the door. "Mom where are you?" It was way to early for her to be asleep. As I stepped into the kitchen I saw an empty bottle of some kind of alcohol on the counter. I rushed into the living room dreading every step. "NO! NO MOM!....you PROMISED. YOU TOLD ME THIS WOULDNT HAPPEN AGAIN!" I scream as I see her laying on the floor.

I feel her pulse, it was slow. I quickly called 911 and told them everything. The ambulance came and I rode behind them. I finally was able to get my phone out of my jacket pocket, fumbling with it. I called Juggie, "J-jug I need you to m-meet me at the hospital." "y/n, whats going on are you ok" "JUG! I D-DONT HAVE T-T-TIME TO EXPLAIN JUST G-GET THERE!" I say hanging up the phone. Tears in my eyes I continue to drive, flashbacks of times this had happened before flashing into my head.

"y/n?" I hear behind me, I knew that it was Jughead. I turned around tears filling my eyes and ran to him, hugging him as tight as I could. "What happened?" he said "Jug, it was my, my mom. She...I" "Its okay, Its okay." He said cutting me off. "Archie, Kevin and Veronica are on their way" He continued. "What about B-Betty?" I say. "well she was...um busy." He said. "give me your phone" I say "wait what?" "Give. Me. Your. Phone" I say taking it from his hand. I quickly go to Bettys contact and look at their texts. "y/n I don't think you should do that" he says "That J-J-Jerk!!" I say as I see the texts

Texts:

Jughead- Hey I think y/n is in trouble she said to meet her at the hospital

Betty- Seriously?

Jughead- Yes!

Betty- She's probably just being dramatic and I'm already in bed lol

Jughead- well I'm sure your mom would let you come if you told her your friend was in trouble

Betty- I'm sure she would, the problem is that I don't want to come, if it was you I would obviously come though.

Jughead- betty stop. I'm not into you end of story.

End of conversation

Just as I finish reading Kevin walks in, "Omg what happened" he says pulling me into a hug. "it was my mom" I say "is she drinking again?!" he says "a-apparently" I say. "this time I found her in the living room on the floor, she had hit her head, they said there might be permeant damage." I say "y/n I'm so sorry." Kevin says.

Everyone knew my mom had a drinking problem because of all the sleepovers I would have with them and all the times I had vented to them. Recently she had gotten better but her being sober never lasts. Just then Archie and Veronica walked in the door, Veronica pulls me into a hug and Archie puts his hand on my shoulder. "What happened" V says. And Kevin pulls them aside to explain. "I cant believe Betty! She was supposed to be my best friend." I say to Jug.

"Shouldn't we be talking about your mom?" Jug says. "I have shed my tears for that woman and I tried to help her. Many MANY times, I hate to say this but its her fault. And I'm done feeling like its mine." I say getting up. "y/n where are you going?" Jug says. "I'm going to talk to that bitch Betty Cooper." I say as I start walking away

"Hey, hey y/n where are you going??" Archie says. "Did you guys know that Betty was talking about me behind my back?!" I say. "N-no," Kevin says "Seriously?! Oh then I guess you also know that now that she couldn't get Archie she is trying to get Jug!" I say. "Wait really???" Veronica says.
