Chapter- Fifteen

Ray's POV

I woke up to the sight of Blake sleeping on a very uncomfortable looking chair just next to my bed.

He looked really peaceful, like he has no care of the world. A small smile on his face.

I wonder what's going on in that mind of his.

His hairs look so soft that it's taking every cell of my body not to run my fingers through them.

"Take a picture, it'll last longer." Blake said, his eyes still closed.

I scoffed.

He stood and walked up to my bed.

"I brought you food but you were sleeping, how are you feeling? " He whispered running his thumb over my cheeks.

The air just shifted to a whole new level. You could feel the sexual tension in the air.

I gulped.

"I.... Um... I'm okay." I stuttered.

Why am I so damn nervous.

"Good. Do you know how worried I was!  Never do that ever again." He said looking dead in my eyes.

I nodded.

Why can't I speak!!??

Damn Ray.  Say something!!!

"Can I kiss you!? " He asked out of the blue.

And without even waiting for my answer, he crashed his lips on mine.

You know that feeling right before your lips touch their lips?  That breathless vacuum that swallows you whole and makes you forget that you've been anywhere else? 

That.

He feels like that.

Some things are just simple, I believe when you know them, you know, there's no question.

I've been fighting for my feelings for him for so long but now I don't want to. 

I want with him what the stars share with the sky.

We broke the kiss and rested our foreheads against each other.

That feeling was so new.

New but good.

"I wanted to do that for so long now." He said.

I blushed.

Our little moment was disturbed by someone clearly their throat.

Blake's Mother.

Arghhhh..!!!!!

NOT AGAIN!!!

Can this get any more embarrassing.

This is the second time.

Well technically the first time we weren't kissing.

But that doesn't make it any less embarrassing.

"Um... Hey mom,  what are you doing here." Blake blushed.

"I came to meet Ray,  to see how's she feeling. But I see she's doing really good." She teased.

I blushed.

"Thanks Mrs. Lincoln." I said.

Just then the door to my hospital room opened revealing Blake's sister.

"Raaaaayyy!!!" She shouted and hugged me.

"Hello Everly!!" I smiled.

"Blake told me you got into an accident so I made you cookies." She smiled showing me a box of cookies.

"Wow, you made them??" I asked smiling.

This girl just makes my day better.

"Yup, mommy helped me." She said looking at her mother.

"Thank you soo much baby." I smiled.

She smiled.

"When can we play together. I miss playing with you." She asked.

"As soon as I get out of this hospital." I cringed.

"Which reminds me, your mother told me you will be discharged tomorrow morning. She left for work. She wasn't going, I had to practically drag her out of this place after I told her that I'll take care of you." Blake's mother smiled.

"Yeah, she can be a little handful." I chuckled.

"She loves you." Mrs. Lincoln said.

"I know." I gave her a goofy smile.

It was evening when everyone left except for Blake.

I tried to make him leave too, not because I wanted him to but because he has not left the hospital even for once.

He didn't listen to me. Not surprised there.

So right now we're both sitting in my hospital room talking.

So one addressing the kiss we shared earlier.

"You know you should go home." I asked him.

"Are you trying to get rid of me!? " He said placing his hand on his heart in a dramatic manner.

I rolled my eyes.

"No, but sitting in a hospital room can get boring. Don't you think. " I said.

"Indeed. Sitting in a hospital room is boring but sitting in a hospital room with you!?  Nah. Not at all." He smiled.

I chuckled.

"No, but seriously, you haven't left the room since I woke up except for that one time when you went to the cafeteria. I think you should get some rest yourself and Alexa will be joining me tonight anyway." I said.

"Yeah, I guess you are right." He said.

"When am I not!?" I Winked.

He chuckled.

"Okay then, be ready on Saturday. I'm taking you out." He said.

"Woah. Wait. When did we talk about that!? " I asked.

"We didn't. I'm telling you." I shrugged.

"What if I don't want to come!? " I challenged.

"Well then I'll have to kidnap you. Nothing I can't do." He smirked.

"Is it a... Date!? " I asked.

"Do you want it to be!? " He said.

"Um.. I don't know." I shrugged.

"Well then it's a date. Be ready." He said and left the room.

I just can't help but squeal.

I'm going on a date with Blake!!!!!

I called Alexa. She picked up in the first ring.

"Hey, are you okay!? " She asked.

"I'm grand. How long will it take you to reach here!? " I asked.

"Approximately 45 minutes. Why? " She asked a little confused.

"We have code red. Blake asked me for a date. " I said smiling.

The line was silent for a minute.

Then, she squealed.

The typical Alexa!!

"I'll be there in 10 minutes. I want details. " She said and hanged up.

This girl is crazy.
