Chapter- Twenty four

Ray's POV

I never actually told the whole story to anyone, not even Alexa.

Until now.

It feels good to open up and talk to someone. I feel like I finally have a chance in life. That I CAN be happy, without Blake too.

"You know, I'm really happy that you're my friend. It feels good be able to talk to someone. Thanks for having patience with me. " I said lost in my thoughts.

"Ray, look at me" Dylan said taking my face in his hands and caressing my cheeks.

" I haven't done anything for you to be thankful. I did what any person who cares will do. If anything I should be the one thankful to you. Thanks for making me a part of your friends group when I was a new lost kid in this school. Thank you so much Ray. " He continued and before I knew he leaned in and pressed his lips against mine.

I freezed.

I was sitting there, not moving.

I didn't kiss him back.

I can't kiss him back.

I don't want to kiss him back.

Oh nooo.

Oh no no no.

This shouldn't be happening.

I.. What do I do now.

I pressed his chest a little telling him to stop.

"Huh. I'm so sorry Ray. I.. I don't know what came over me. I'm sorry. I... I... You were there and I.. I thought that maybe.. You too.... I.... Huh... I'm an idiot I'm so sorry. Please forgive me. " Dylan looked like he'll cry any moment now.

I felt a little bad for him.

I sighed.

"It's fine. Calm down. I.. I just... I'm not ready for anything right now.. You know... I mean.. You're a great guy and I'd love to be with you but I'm not at a right place now. I... I'm still not over Blake and... I wouldn't be fair for me to use you. I... Maybe someday.. I'm sorry. "

"No it's fine, I should've know. Let's... Let's just forget it and just be friends like we were before I decided to be stupid and kiss you. " He said smiling a little.

"What kiss? " I ased dramatically.

He chuckled

" Let's go. I'll drop you home. " Dylan said.

"No, wait. Drop me to Alexa's place." I said.

"Okay" Dylan nodded, smiling.

I know Alexa is right. I'm going to go to her house and beg for her forgiveness until she doesn't forgive me.

I'm not going to loose my best friend because of a guy.

No.. I refuse to.

And I know what will make Alexa forgive me.

"Can we stop by the florists' and the Belgian Waffle before we go to her house? " I smiled.

Dylan nodded and started driving.

Time to get my best friend back!

We reached Alexa's house after 40 mins. We stopped at the florists' and I bought her a bouquet of fresh daisies and roses.

Her favourite.

I also bought kiki and cream waffles for her.

Also her favourite.

Now she won't be able to stay angry at me for long.

I smiled at the thought.

"You know you should seriously stop smiling like this. It looks creepy. " Dylan said.

"Glad to know you find my happiness creepy. " I answered sarcastically.

"Your sarcasm isn't appreciated sweetheart. "  Dylan smiled.

"And neither are your unwanted opinions about my smile. But here we are. " I scoffed playfully.

I love this about Dylan. His company is very soothing, very contagious. He's sweet and I'm glad I have a friend like him.

"I'll see you later ok? Go get your best friend back. " Dylan said.

"Consider it done, captain. " I said in a sing song voice.

I walked to her door and knocked.

Time to get my bestie back!!

Dylan's POV

I tried.

I tried saving her.

I tried so she'll like me so I wouldn't have to do what I'm asked to do.

I tried so I wouldn't have to hurt her.

I was sent here to hurt her, to take her to the boss.

I was sent here to become her friend, to make her trust me,get information and then take her to the boss.

But I started liking her.

Huh stupid me.

I convinced boss to let her go without hurting her if I make her fall for me.

But of course she's hung up on that little piece of shit.

Now I can't help her.

I have to take her now.

Take her to the boss.

It's all her fault.

It's her fault for not falling for me.

Now she'll pay for it.

I took out my phone from my pocket and called the boss.

" I'll bring her to you. " I said my voice devoid of any emotion.

"Good boy. " He said. I can practically hear the smirk in his voice.

Of course.

He told me that she wouldn't fall for me.

"And we were right about her ex. " I added.

The other line was silent for a moment and then...

"Bring her as soon as you can. " He said and ended the call.

Now he'll get his revenge and I'll get mine.

Oh poor Ray, you have no idea what's coming for you.

I smirked.
