~*Dice's POV*~
Cheshire in my arms once again, we arrived home. The engine died, and Jayy jumped out the car and stormed into the house, motioning for me to stay outside. He slammed the door hard, yelling as he did it, causing me to flinch. There were no words I could make out, but I knew it was between Dahvie and Jayy. What are they fighting about? Was I causing this? Guilt overrided me, and I felt the urge to bite my nails. I sat Chessy down on the pavement, and plopping down next to him waited.
My eyes wandered to the concrete where I saw a line of small ants, lined up. They were marching towards a dead locust. As a team they slowly disected its body, first it's wings, then it's eyes. Slowly but surely, they almost cleaned the locust out of everything except the empty carcass, left to dry in the sun. Then they were simply gone. They finished getting what they needed so they left. Is this what would happen after I die? Will I get eaten by the ants, worms, maggots? Just to have my bones rot until the earth itself decomposes me in nothing but soil? Is that how it is? Is that whats happening to my Hayden right now? Squeezing my sweaty hand into fists, nails biting into my palms, I shut my eyes quickly to avoid shedding tears.
"Wow. You're pretty messed up aren't you?"
My head snapped back up at the voice. I would have heard Dahvie or Jayy open the door wouldn't I have? No this wasn't either of them. This guys hair was dark, but not black, and sure as hell not rainbow. His had held out in front of him, I took it cautiously. I wanted to be on my feet if worse came to worse. He started to laugh in the back of his throat.
"I'm sorry. My name is Ciel."
"Dice."
I said in return. That still wasn't enough information. Not wanting to say anything, I just pursed my lips and kept quiet. Who does this guy think he is?
"So why are you out here all by yourself? And who's yelling?"
I realized Jayy and Dahvie were still fighting, and suddenly had the impulse to plug my ears.
"Not to answer a question with a question, but I don't see why I should tell you, and why do you care so much?"
He looked at me funny, and I responded with a funny glance of my own, making him laugh again. I liked his laugh though. Like little wind chimes.
"I guess you don't have a reason to answer my questions. I live over there, and I saw you and came to talk." He said pointing towards the house across the street. It was a tall, old house, with wrought iron furniture on the porch, very antique.
As I was gazing at his house, his voice pulled me back into our conversation.
"So are you living with those rockstar guys? They've been there since their last tour."
Tour? Where they that big of a deal? Reading the surprise on my face, he replied,"You didn't know who they were did you? You seriously don't know?"
I slowly shook my head back and forth, trying to understand what he was getting at."Dice, these guys are Blood on The Dancefloor."
And my jaw went to the ground. I had heard about these guys, never listened to them, but they had some pretty cool T-shirts in HotTopic, but I had never seen their faces either. Well of couurse I haven't or I would have recognized them immediatly. If they're this famous, why are they living here, dealing with me? I glanced at the house behind me. Yeah, just a regular house. What was going on? Right on queue, Jayy walked out.
"Hey Dice, sorry about that-"
He saw Ciel and his face went hard. He looked at me and back and Ciel, scowling. Gripping my wrist, he pulled me towards the door and I had to clamour to get Cheshire into the crook of my arm.
