Eun Jung was right about her brother not wanting to talk to Baekho but maybe not forever. It was the weekend and everyone in Minhyun's family was surprisingly free that day so Min Seok decided on a rare sudden family outing together with Baekho as well. Minhyun sat at the back of the six seater minivan with Baekho being in the seat beside his since that was just how the sequence of them getting into the car was. His sister sat with his mother and his father with the driver as the minivan drove towards the beach, a location Minhyun had already disliked to begin with so his sour mood only turned foul. He kept his gaze outside as his index finger scratched nervously against his thumb. He was wearing his gloves so it didn't really affect his nails or skin directly. Baekho noticed his hand doing that and wondered if Minhyun was alright. His gloved hands weren't his only main concern though. Minhyun was literally wearing a white turtleneck shirt with a coat over it to a beach. He was definitely going to sweat like mad was what Baekho thought. He himself only had on a singlet and a zipped up jacket that he was bound to remove later on.
"Hey," Baekho said, trying to get Minhyun's attention. It didn't work out so well when the taller male just gave him a quick glance before going back to ignoring him again. "You can't keep being mad at me." Minhyun pursed his lips and still kept it shut. His fingers stopped moving and his frown deepened. "Minhyun." Baekho thought about reaching over to get his attention by touching him but he was sure that would only create worse results so he kept his hands to himself for now. "Minhyun." He repeated the other's name instead and leaned forward in his seat to try to see Minhyun's expression. "Don't ignore me, Minhyun."
Minhyun hissed and glared at him, finally turning to look him in the eyes but he still refused to say a word.
"I really didn't mean for you to fall down that day," Baekho said quickly but soft enough so only Minhyun could hear him. "Look. I'm sorry about what I did but it's not totally my fault that you fell too."
Minhyun clasped his hands together as an effort to generate his anger into energy so he wouldn't get all riled up over Baekho's apology.
"Can't you just... forgive me?"
"No." Was the short reply Minhyun gave him before turning away again. Baekho sighed and leaned back against the seat, wondering why he was even trying this hard to get Minhyun to talk to him again. He never really use to bother about people ignoring him yet he didn't want the taller male to ignore him at all. It was almost like he craved for Minhyun's attention which he was definitely not getting and it felt weird. Baekho tried to reason out with the fact that he only felt this way because people usually give him the attention he wanted when he asked for them especially people who wanted to get laid but Minhyun wasn't even someone he wanted to get laid with. Or did he?
The rest of the ride was filled with an awkward tensed atmosphere for Baekho while Minhyun just continued ignoring him. He kept thinking of ways to apologize to the other until he gradually tire out and fell asleep in the car. Minhyun heard his little snores and glanced over, finding his brows creasing towards each other again as he looked at the sleeping male. He couldn't understand the other's actions at all. He couldn't even understand the male himself but he thought better than to question it. After the wedding, he was certain that his sister would shift out to Baekho's house instead of them staying at Minhyun's parents anymore so he just had to keep up the silent treatment until then if he could.
Once they reached the beach, Minhyun was the only one who didn't run to the sandy beach excitedly. Instead he opened an umbrella and stood under a tree shade instead while the two youngsters were already bolting towards the water and his parents were leisurely walking to find a spot for them to lay their mat. There were bodyguards around but they tried not to be too obvious about it although Minhyun could tell who was who. He stood under the tree and didn't even approach the sandy area. He noticed Baekho removing his jacket, eyes unconsciously glued to the other as his singlet was stripped off too. Minhyun wasn't sure why he couldn't take his eyes off the other but he stared at the luscious abs and muscles that revealed themselves when the shorter male turned around to talk to Eun Jung who had also removed her outer layers to reveal her swimsuit. He also noticed little black blotches on the male, guessing they were tattoos but he couldn't quite see from where he was. He didn't have any intention of going nearer either and his parents knew why so they didn't bother asking him to join them as they sunbathe. Minhyun swore he could be at home doing things he actually enjoy instead of just standing there, unable to join them. He knew he was bound to sweat if he stayed out here even under the shade so he removed his coat but his turtleneck still covered the whole length of his arms anyways.
