After freeing the taller male, Baekho sat on the couch beside him again. He stared at Minhyun who was still quivering and decided to pull him into a hug.
"I'm really sorry," Baekho said whole squeezing him tightly. Minhyun hesitated for a moment before he slowly moved his hands up Baekho's back and hugged him. He buried his head against his neck and shoulder before he felt the shaking in his chest start again. He cried as he pulled the male close, trying to feel safe and secure in the arms of the muscular male. And he did. "It was a stupid plan."
"But... But it'll work, right?" Minhyun whispered while sobbing. "My sister won't h-have to marry you now, r-right?"
"Guess not. Hope not. It's not what we both want after all. And... I found someone I actually like for once." Minhyun stiffened. What was Baekho saying now? He let the shorter male go, suddenly feeling embarrassed to be hugging someone who probably didn't have feelings for him. Baekho looked at Minhyun with gentle eyes.
"Oh. That's... Good for you." Minhyun's hands moved away from Baekho as he hugged himself again.
"Mhmmm," Baekho responded with an acknowledging hum while moving away as well. "Do you feel better?"
"Yes... Sorry I... Freaked out."
"It's totally understandable. I would have freaked out a whole lot more than you too." Baekho shrugged and Minhyun nodded. He felt his heart clench. It hurt emotionally. Minhyun couldn't bring himself to look the other in the eye. "Um... Sorry for dirtying your clothes. Would you like a shower? I had this place cleaned out beforehand so you should be totally fine here."
"Huh?"
"Your allergies. Dust. It shouldn't kick up here. I hope." Minhyun finally looked around the place he was in. It looked like a wooden house with a second floor. A little cabin for a getaway with furnitures that were meant to be comfortable and homely. Minhyun felt his fear slowly pass as he took in the area. There was even a fireplace.
"Where... Are we?" he asked while glancing at Baekho who was still staring at him.
"It's a cabin in the woods. My grandfather used to bring me here when I was younger. When he passed away, it was given to me. It's the only thing I have to call mine," Baekho replied with a small smile.
"Oh. He must have been... Nice." Minhyun knew his grandparents and they were even more strict than his own parents so he could never really get along with them. Eun Jung had it worse from them though since they were always nitpicky about the little things too. But they didn't stay nearby so they barely saw their grandparents too which Minhyun was thankful for.
"He was nice." Baekho looked a little distant talking about his grandfather but his attitude reverted back to its usual sunshine self soon after. "Come on. I'll show you around."
Minhyun nodded and Baekho helped him to his feet. He wobbled a little but the other was there to hold onto him with a hand on his waist. Minhyun pursed his lips, wondering if he should move Baekho's hand away but he decided to just leave it. It's fine even if the other didn't like him that way. For now, he get to bask in his care. Baekho led him around the cabin, showing him the kitchen and toilet and the such.
"How long... Do you plan to stay?" Minhyun asked as they headed up the stairs.
"Probably 3 days. That should be enough, right?"
Minhyun wasn't sure if that was enough. He thought one day was enough already. "Are you going to... Send me back first?"
"Do you... Want to go back first?" Baekho asked while raising his brows. Minhyun blinked, questioning himself as well. Did he want to go back? Go back where? His home? That felt nothing more than a prison? He shook his head without much thought and Baekho smiled. "Okay. We will go back after 3 days then. Can't stay out here for too long either or they might figure out our plan." Minhyun nodded and Baekho showed him around upstairs. There were three rooms but only one was fully furnished and the other two were used as random storage rooms. "You can have the bed. I'll sleep on the couch."
