Minhyun was escorted into the car in a less aggressive manner since the taller male was more calm about things and didn't put up a fight. However, that didn't mean he was any less nervous compared to Baekho about going home. What if they found out it was fake? The kidnapping was planned? He could only expect the worst. He would be considered rebellious and who knew if he would ever see the light of the day again. He gripped his wrist nervously and bit his gum. When his house came into view and they drove up to the front door, he already felt like throwing up and bolting or even disappearing right now especially when his father came into view. He gulped, hands shaking, breathing ragged as they motioned him to get down from the car. He got down and tried his best to keep a calm facade.
"Minhyun."
"F-f..." Minhyun clenched his jaw and tried again. "Father."
"Go to my study room."
"Fa-"
"Now."
Minhyun gulped and looked at the men behind him. They were policemen, right? They should be able to help him but he found himself unable to cry for help. Instead he started walking into the house with heavy steps. Each step only made him feel more afraid to be in this position. He saw his mother who looked scared for him as well. He wanted to run to her, beg her to help him to stop this but he knew she couldn't. Min Seok appeared behind him just as he reached the study room.
"Dear, please. Don't do this," Eun Na spoke up in a soft frightened voice.
"He must learn his place again. It seems hanging out with that rebellious piece of shit has made him turn against us."
"Please, Min Seok. He's your son. You don't have to do this. We can talk things out."
"Get in!" Min Seok yelled at Minhyun who flinched and quickly opened the room door. His heart felt like it was suffering. He couldn't breathe properly.
"What's going on?" Eun Jung asked as she came down from the stairs to see what the commotion was about.
"Go back to your room!" Min Seok snapped at his daughter who was shocked because he had never raised his voice that much with her before.
"Eun Jung, please go back to your room."
"Minhyun? Brother, you're back." Eun Jung was about to run to her brother with a relieved smile but the look of terror on Minhyun's face made her think twice. What was going on? Her mother pulled her into an embrace as Min Seok shut the door behind him. "Mother, what's going on? What are they doing in there? Brother just came home."
"Eun Jung, please. Go back to your room. Wear your earphones. Blast your music out loud. Just don't listen."
"Listen to what...?"
Minhyun stood there with shaking knees and sweat dripping nervously down his back. He turned to look at his father who was picking up a belt.
"Father, please let me ex-"
"No. You know what happens when you betray your own family. When you go against me."
"I did n-" A tight slap made him stop talking as he gasped.
It always start with a slap.
"You ran away with the Kang son. That's preposterous behaviour for my son to act," Min Seok cut him off again. Minhyun could feel his lips quivering in fear. He should have ran away after all. He shouldn't have waited even a second. Why did he? "Take off your gloves. Turn around. Get down on your knees."
Minhyun already knew what to do without his father ordering him to. He turned around and walked to the wall, slowly dropping to his knees. He realised one of his gloves were missing. It was probably with Baekho. Baekho. Baekho. Baekho. He shut his eyes tightly as he pulled off his remaining glove and placed his hands onto the added piece of metal railing drilled to the wall. Min Seok wrapped the belt around his wrists, securing them to the railing so that he wouldn't be able to run away.
