I have to stay in Cannon Beach not even wanting to be in Cannon Beach. I hate the fact that my dad allowed them to take moms room. I hate the fact that they are even here. I can't believe my dad would be with a woman who cares more about her nails than her own child. She did look pretty but botox can not fix her character. And her daughter too. What the fuck was that for an answer? "She's dead." Who says that to someone.
"Ro come down. Breakfast is ready!" - dad called. He didn't have a clue about what happened yesterday.
"Good morning sweetheart." -her splendour Gabriella greeted.
"You have some milk left in the fridge." - she added.
I stayed silent.
"She is lactose intolerant Gabi. Remember?" -my dad answered for me.
"Oh. You did mentioned that before. I totally forgot." -Gabriella said charmingly smiling.
The rest of the breakfast was quite. Until someone woke up.
"Oh hey, Julie. How is our favourite daughter? Did you sleep well?" -Gabriella said looking at Juliette coming into the kitchen."Can you just make me some cereals?" -Juliette said reluctantly.
"Robert make her some"
"Can't she do it?" -I said annoyed. I'm not defending my father or anything but these bitches were acting like some higher species around here.
"No problem. One cereals are coming right up." -with ignoring everything I said my father agreed to her wishes.
"I'm out. I can't watch this anymore." - I took one pancake and went to my room.
After listening to my whole playlist I got bored. Molly was out of town for a few days so we couldn't go out and Mason still didn't write or called. I'm not gonna be the first to make a move. It looks like I'm going to have to find some other kind of fun. And then it hit me. I remembered how interesting the garage was when I was little. I would always explore all of the boxes and chests that my dad had in there.
Garage didn't change as much. It's still dirty and messy. After I removed and opened I don't know how many boxes, I found it. The jackpot. My freaking old skateboard. I always skate back at home. I go everywhere with it. Why not to try this old thing.
While driving around the town I saw Noah. He was arguing with an elder man. It looked like he was in big trouble. I stopped and watched just in case someone needs to call the cops. They weren't arguing for a long time. Last thing that happened was that man putting his finger on his chest. It looked like a threat to me.
Noah was standing there all alone. He seemed worried so I came up to him."Hey what was that all about?" -a very smooth move I did there.
He gave me a look that said fuck off but he didn't actually say it. He walked away not saying anything. I mean, I can't blame him it's not like I would say something personal to my neighbour that I talk with across the window.
As interesting that was I made my way to the city. It didn't take long for me to bump on Mason. He is always out. I wasn't sure how to act after that kiss so I kinda didn't wanna be seen. But on my luck I was."Hey Rose wait up!" - Mason said running towards me.
"Hey! What a weird coincidence right?" -I really didn't know what to say I was caught off guard.
"It is, right. I just wanted to call you today." -sure he was.
"Oh were you?" -it wasn't an ironic question. To be honest I don't know what for a question that was at all.
"Listen I would really like to take you out again. You are nice to be around you know. You're not like most girls here." -when he said that I cringed. It was a big-time cringe. But it was also kinda cute.
"Sure. I'm free tonight."
"Unfortunately I can't take you out tonight but what do you say about this Saturday?" -he sniggered.
"I'm down. See you on Saturday." -I waved and made my way home.
Rest of the day was boring and all I was trying to do was avoid people I'm living with. It went pretty well. They didn't even know that I was at home or that I left. I caught up with some drawings I didn't finished.
Evening fell and I saw light in Noah's room. I wanted to talk to him about today. He got me worried. It looked pretty serious.
I went to the bathroom and I took the broom. I tapped a few times on his window cause I didn't want to yell and his window was closed anyways. I didn't wait long for him to open up."Hey how do you feel about talking." - I asked.
"Well that depends on a topic and a person I'm talking to. Is there a lady willing to talk to me?" -he asked looking around, thinking he's funny.
"Don't make me regret I asked." -I replied almost quitting it all.
"Come to my place."
"Woah. Stop there big boy. I said talking not touching." -I deepened my voice.
"Can you just come over? I know a place you'd like." -he continued.
"How do you know what I would like?" -I said defensively.
"Just shut up and come. At the end I'm gonna be the one regretting it." -he said and closed the window.
And if you wondering. Yeah, I do want to punch him in the face.
I came to his front door. I couldn't ring because his parents were probably asleep. It was 9 a.m but I didn't wanna risk it. As always I didn't have to wait long for him to show up."Come on in." -he said looking down at me.
