Arc 1: Chapter Seven

Friday came faster than ever, and Elizabeth found herself at her first ever sleepover with Diane and Elizabeth, and even Merlin joined them.

"So what do you guys usually do at these things?" Elizabeth Asks. "Well, usually gossip, paint our nails, jam out to our favorite songs but, before any of that, what's up with you and Meliodas? Are you two an item yet?" Diane Smirks.

"W-What? I mean-"

"Don't try and lie Ellie, we can see the blush on your face!" Says Elaine.

"Well..I mean we've kissed."

"That's it?" Diane Asks And Elizabeth nods. "So your not an item, or together?" Elizabeth shakes her head no. "Meliodas is an idiot." Merlin rolls her eyes.

"You may be kinda new to this love thing Ellie but...heads up, you don't kiss somebody that isn't your boyfriend, unless he's asking you out while doing it."

"Yeah...I realized that but I wouldn't know how to ask him."

"You'd have to be in the moment, that's probably why he hasn't asked you yet." Merlin Says just as she receives a text from Meliodas.

"Who texted you?" Asks Diane peeping over her shoulder. "Oh Just Meli-"

"Answer it!" She screams.

"Woah, relax, Diane. Don't forget about her illness." Says Merlin. "Yeah, Sorry...Anyway, what did he say?"

"Uhm...he asked what am I doing right now."

"Say nothing," Answers Diane quickly. "But I'm with you-" "If he's interested in what your doing then he wants to do something with you." Says Elaine.

Elizabeth rolls her eyes, but goes along with what their saying.

"Okay, I texted him saying I'm not doing anything..." Elizabeth trails off. "He's calling," She says looking at her phone.

"Answer!" They all scream just as she answers.

"Hello?" She Asks.

"Yeah, Elizabeth...can you meet me infront of my house? I wanna take you somewhere."

Elizabeth bites her lip, and that's when Merlin mouths "I'll drive you there,"

"Okay...but why do you sound so hurt?" She Asks. "It's nothing, just meet me there." He Says before hanging up.

"I don't wanna abandone you guys like this..." Elizabeth trails off. "You won't be, plus, if Meliodas really is hurt only you can comfort him. Let's go." Says Merlin grabbing her keys.

Elizabeth nods and follows her out the house, and into her car.

"You know Ellie, when we were younger, Meliodas' father was hard on him, he still is. Do you remember or know who is father is?"

Elizabeth shakes her head no. "Figures, your dad probably didn't want you to know all that but...his father is a rich billionaire, who owns the company Meliodas will inherit."

"Mel told me he had some work he had to do from him, but that's the most he's ever told me."

"Probably to protect you. Their are some hurtful memories with his father and you two." Says Merlin as it's quiet.

"Hey Merlin...I noticed at school that Mel has a fan base...is that because of his father too?"

"Well...he's the star basketball player and the son of a billionaire so every girl wants him. Along with that, he doesn't show his emotions very much at school, which is we're happy you came. Maybe he'll start acting like his old self." Says Merlin as she pulls up at Meliodas' house.

"Thanks for the ride Merlin!" Says Elizabeth opening the car door. "No problem! Make sure to call us if something heated happens!" She smirks making the silver haired girl blush. "I-I doubt it..." she says closing the door, and waving goodbye.

Elizabeth walks towards the front of the house and knocks on the door.

"Sorry if I kept you waiting Ellie," says Meliodas opening the door.

"You seem hurt..." Elizabeth trails off as they walk towards wherever the hell they were going.

"Were you crying?" She asks.

"Lets just worry about you. Why are you in your pyjamas?" Asks Meliodas. Elizabeth blushes. "It's ten at night!" She says blushing and Meliodas laughs. "I'm just picking with you," he says as he grabs her hand.

"Okay, close your eyes." Says Meliodas.

"Your not gonna try and throw me down a ditch are you?" She asks as the blindfold covers her eyes.

"Of course not," says Mel, leading her up a hill. "We're here." He answers a few seconds later, and once he removes the blindfold, she can see the whole city.

"It's beautiful!" Elizabeth exclaims, looking at all the lights.

"I know, I come here when I'm sad a lot..."

"Mel-"

"Don't worry about me," he answers quickly.

"That's not possible...I'm always gonna worry about you." She says. "You should worry about yourself Ellie, you know you could-"

"And? If I keep worrying over my stupid illness then it's gonna put me in fear where I won't wanna do anything! For now, I just wanna live life, and experience everything I can,"

"Especially love," She adds blushing. "Mel...I need to know, what are we? I've been talking to the girls about us and...friends don't hold hands, friends don't hug very intimately, and friends defiantly don't kiss each other."

"I'm sorry Ellie...you should've said something before. The only reason I never asked you to be my girlfriend is because I wanted you to regain your memories before doing so but...if you want...do you want to be my girlfriend?" He Asks.

Elizabeth blushes but nods. "Yeah...I do." She answers as they both sit down and stare at the scenery for forever.

"You know...I'm sorry for not letting you know what's going on but...my father, he's coming home tomorrow and every time he comes home he-"

"Beats you?" Elizabeth finished, and Meliodas looks at her. "You remember that?"

"The whole memory just came like a flashback. I remember when we were younger, and you came to my balcony crying because he told you you'd be owning his company one day, and you couldn't play basketball and-"

But Elizabeth stops. "Ellie what's wrong?" He Asks.

"I remember our parents assigning for us to be married to each other when we're twenty...and I remember the incident..." she stays silent before silent tears come from her eyes.

"I was so stupid!" She sobs and Meliodas hugs her tightly. "We all were, it wasn't just your fault..."

"Ellie?"

"Elizabeth?" He Asks before he realises she passed out. "Damn," he curses pulling out his phone and dialling 911.

"My girlfriend passed out and she suffers agoraphobia..."

Meliodas hangs up as the person on the line says they'll be there soon, and Meliodas quickly dialled Margaret's phone number.

"Elizabeth regained her memories and passed out. I can see the ambulance approaching so meet us at the hospital."

"I will, and I'll bring dad." Margaret Says before hanging up just as the ambulance arrives.
