Arc 2: Chapter Thirteen *40*

6 Months Later

"Happy birthday Angie!" Elizabeth smiles, kissing her daughters cheek, causing a bunch of laughter from her daughter.

"Mama!" Angel says, followed by other words in her baby language, which makes Elizabeth smile.

Who would've thought, on this day, June 25, I would've given birth to my first daughter and fall into a coma. Elizabeth shakes the thought away. She was fine now.

Elizabeth kisses her daughters cheek once again, before going to feed her.

Throughout these six months, Angel's grown a lot. By the time she was nine months, she spoke her first words, which were mama. She shortly learned how to say dada after, which Meliodas was happy for.

She's also walking. Not unassisted but she's walking.

"Seems like the two of you are up early," Meliodas walks into the kitchen, kissing his daughters forehead before kissing his fiancé's lips.

"Dada!" Angel squeals, and Elizabeth gladly lets Meliodas take over on feeding her.

Other than them, Ban, Elaine, And their son, everyone else was asleep, so Meliodas tried to come down Angel's squealing, which simply didn't work.

"Looks like Angel woke up Merlin from her sleep. Again." Elizabeth mutters, quickly apologising to Merlin. "It's fine, means more time with me and her." Says Merlin, going to Angel.

"Okay Angie, try and save Merlin, say it with me, Mer-Lin. C'mon you got it!" Elizabeth laughs at Merlins baby voice, and also her daughters failed attempts at saying her name.

"Now you woke aunt Didi up Angel," Diane sighs coming into the kitchen. "And I was getting my beauty sleep." She pouts.

"I don't think sleep can fix that." Ban jokes, which leads to Diane beating the crap out of him.

"You see Mitsu, don't be like your dad and say stupid things like that." Says Elaine to her son, kissing his cheek.

Ban eventually finished breakfast, in which he almost burnt because of Diane, and everyone came downstairs to eat.

They were throwing Angel a small birthday party, despite how bad Meliodas' father wanted her to have a rich and extravagant party. It would be mostly friends and family.

After breakfast, they all got dressed, and Elizabeth decided to let Angel wear a cute onesie that says birthday girl along with a skirt.

"Angie, you wanna walk to mama and dada?" Elizabeth asks her daughter, who sat on the floor playing with her toys. Angle began to try and move her wobbly legs, in which she eventually picks them up and wobbles to her parents. Meliodas picks her up once she makes it to them and pulls something out of his pocket.

"Look Angie, this is a diamond charm bracelet." Says Meliodas, letting his daughter get the feel of it.

Elizabeth sighs. "I thought I told you nothing expensive. She won't even wear that till she's like...thirteen."

"We have to prepare early Ellie," he says and Elizabeth can't help but roll her eyes.

Throughout the night, despite Elizabeth telling everyone to get her something under one hundred dollars, everyone got her something expensive, which Elizabeth chose to put up.

"If you guys keeping buying her all this stuff she's gonna be spoiled."

"She already is," Meliodas whispers to her and Elizabeth shakes her head.

At the moment Gilmore, Mitsuru, and Angel were all playing together, Angel trying as best she could since she wasn't so good at walking.

"I hope we raise her right...to where she ends up better off than both of us...with no problems." Elizabeth says, looking to Meliodas.

"Me too, Ellie,"

Later that night

Elizabeth fumbled with her hands. She didn't really know how to really tell Meliodas this, or even ask him, but she would try.

"Meliodas," Elizabeth asks, her voice firmer than usual, showing him that she was trying to talk about something serious.

"Yes?" He asks her, turning to look at her.

Elizabeth shakes off the nervous feeling in her head, and instead, tries speaking again.

"Can we talk?" She asks, sitting down beside him. "Go on," he says and Elizabeth breathes in.

"So...after watching Angel last night...I was kinda thinking about...having another," she looks away, her cheeks red.

"Ellie, you know the risks for that!"

"I know, I know, I just don't want her to be alone. I'd rather have all her siblings while she's still young."

"I understand that Elizabeth, but I-I can't lose you again," he manages to get the words out.

"My agoraphobia has gotten better Meliodas. Who says that'll happen again?"

"But how do we know it won't?" He asks her, his voice sounding weak.

Elizabeth sighs and wraps him in a hug.

"We won't know till we try,"
