[AN: So just thinking about work is giving me my own little panic attack. The only thing that helps in these kind of situations is to finish things so I don’t worry them over in my brain and panic more. I’m my own little screwed up mess, huh? So in addition to my crazy cleaning, laundry, and checkbook balancing today I am writing again. Hopefully it helps, and I don’t write some sucky chapter.]

[ERIC’S POV] [AN: Just an FYI, Eric is Sam and Kate’s biological dad. Apparently you all wanted a glimpse into his thoughts.]
I smiled as Kate curled up on the couch the drugs hitting her instantly. She was just too damn trusting. Samantha would have never accepted a drink from me. Of course Samantha would never have been in the same room as me. Now thanks to little Kate I had the chance to find her again and to make her pay. That little bitch owed me for letting her stay alive as long as she did.
I had always kept an eye on Kate from far away hoping that she would be able to contact Samantha so I could find the little brat. Kate’s mother was paranoid, but she had loosened her grip on the girl over the years making it easy for me to swoop in and gain her trust. Samantha was another story. There were strong people willing to stand in the way to protect her. People that didn’t relax their vigilance once. Until now. I had almost managed to find Samantha at that damn group home, but then she had disappeared. Probably some lucky bastard who knew what Sam could do for them. It wasn’t fair though. I needed that girl so I could get my score.
My old contacts in the drug business wouldn’t come near me anymore. I was a risky sell. The cops were on me, and everyone knew I couldn’t afford my own habit. The money had dried up ages ago. I had a few friends from my stints in prisons who were standing in willing to help. The prison brotherhood is unbreakable in that sense. It was one of my old cell mates who had convinced Kate he was a private investigator. A few phony pages of reports outlining how I had turned over a new leaf and Kate was willing to do anything I asked.
It had been another friend who had stepped in providing me his flat for a few months. He used the place to bring home the women he didn’t want his wife to find out about. Precious little Kate had dug into her college trust to pay for my airplane ticket. So damn trusting. The foolish little girl should have listened to her mother and sister. Oh well. Good news for me then.
I slipped my hand into her pocket and pulled out her cell phone. I smiled as I realized that she had placed no lock to keep anyone from using it. I scrolled through her contacts seeing the one listed for “big sis.” That had to be Samantha. I hit the dial button and waited for her to pick up.
“Hello,” the female voice said on the other end of the line. It sort of sounded like an older version of Samantha. “Lou, stop it! That tickles!” There were some muffled whispers before they returned the phone to their ear. What was the name of Sam’s rich little boyfriend again? I’m pretty sure it started with an L. “Kate? What’s up? Are you still there?”
“Meet me in one hour below Big Ben. I’ll have a green jacket on. If you don’t show I kill Kate.” I hung up with a smirk. I quickly grabbed a piece of paper scribbling out a short note so Kate wouldn’t be suspicious. I pocketed her phone and walked out the door. In just one hour I would have that little bitch back in my control. And with her rich boyfriend bankrolling the operation I could get what I need and make a pretty penny all at the same time.
[NATHAN’S POV]
Well this was awkward. I wandered around Annie’s flat admiring the knick knacks here and there. Annie had gone to make some tea while Zayn sat on the couch watching my every move. I felt like I was the new date being interrogated by the stern father. Except Zayn was the jealous boyfriend and not the stern father, but you get what I mean.
