In all of Violet Winters twenty years of existing...she never felt so cornered in her life. Multiple things in her life were going haywire. From her pending eviction from her apartment, to her dreadful job cutting hours severely...then this.
The feeling of impending doom was inching closer and closer as she stared at the devilishly handsome man that stood in front of her, with a deadpan look on his face.
Vi's neck honestly was having a hard time looking at the man. Not that he looked too beautiful, it was just complicated due to height differences. Orion something was his name and he looked as if god had plucked him out of a Vogue magazine and placed him strategically in the middle of Oak Wood park.
Even though she couldn't physically see his muscles under the pristine black coat he wore, she knew they were there. From his tall yet broad stature...and his large hands. Not to mention those thick eyebrows that were furrowed as he stared down at her with intense cool grey eyes and that face... He had a nice full face of facial hair, certainly not a beard. It was shaped up perfectly...he could have been a model in a Gillette razor commercial.
"Everything will be fine," he claimed as he held his arm out to her. She stared at his long arm then back at him. His voice was so deep, so soothing. She really, really wanted to believe him but this whole situation was just plain confusing.
She smiled briefly at him. "Ah, no thank you," she murmured, her heart suddenly hammering even more in her chest when he smiled, revealing perfect, pearly whites. His perfect teeth matched his amazingly naturally tanned skin. This man was too much and Violet was having a hard time coping with what they were about to do.
"As you wish, Violet Winters."
He began to walk, and well her 5'4 stature didn't really allow her to keep up with his six foot and some change legs...making her become winded while trying to keep up with him.
The man suddenly paused and glanced back at her, raising a thick eyebrow "Do you need me to carry you since you are walking so slow?" He suggested, the corner of his mouth rising a bit before he wiped a hand over his face.
Violet was surprised he said that and it only made her emotions rise. "I-I don't need you to walk," she frowned at him, narrowing her eyes and twisting her mouth in concealed anger.
"It was just a suggestion," he blew under his breath, stuffing his hands in his impeccable coat pockets and continue to trudge forward to the outlets.
Auto pilot was a terrible thing to be on, she realized as she gasped, stopping dead in her tracks. "I'm on break!"
The man's head titled slightly to the side, and he sighed, his warm breath visible in the cold. "Yes I am aware of that. That is why if we hurry you can sign the papers, quit and we can be on our way by the time you are ready to clock back in."
