Start of something

A few weeks have past by and Jen has been hanging out with Leah more often. It has been amazing for Jen because she finally isn't afraid to tell Leah things about her past. They've gone back to having an open relationship. Everything has been great for them. The kids have gotten along so well. Tashi and Ella have been coming around more often... but Alex hasn't been there for his kids... he's been distancing himself from everything since the last time him and Jennifer met up. He doesn't show up for Tashi and Ella's dance recitals or their choir concerts. He misses out on everything pretty much. Jen has tried to contact him but nothing happened.

A few days later...

Jennifer's P.O.V.

I sigh softly and finish making the kids breakfast. Elias and Ivan are perfectly sound asleep. I go to check on them and see they are holding hands while sleeping.

"My two little babies..." I whisper softly and kiss their cheeks very lightly then go back to the kitchen. Tashi has already served Max and Emme their food.

I look at Tashi and smile softly. "Thank you my lovely baby." I say softly and hug her. She hugs back and rubs my back then takes me to the other room.

"Momma... dad texted me when I woke up... he told me to meet him at Starbucks... but I don't know if I should go or not..." Tashi says softly and looks at me worriedly.

"I feel like I should go and talk to him first. I don't know how he will be with you and I don't want him to hurt your feelings. I'd rather have him hurt my feelings. Not yours. You're too precious and innocent to be hurt..." I said softly trying not to cry.

"Mama... I get you're trying to be strong... I know you've been strong for the longest time... even through everything... but I don't want you to be stressed out anymore. I'm a big girl... I want to figure things out myself and talk to him. I deserve to hear his explanation on why he's been gone... I want to hear it from him.. I don't want you to go and for something to happen or for you to break down in front of him... I want to talk to him. I think you deserve a break from all this drama. Please let me talk to him..?" Tashi said softly and caresses my cheek.

I nodded softly and sighed.

"I guess your right..." I said softly and quickly wipes my tears. Tashi pulled me into a hug and held me close as I cried softly in her arms.

"I don't want you to get hurt. Your daddy hurt me more than anyone could ever.. mentally, physically, and emotionally... I just don't want you to experience that.. but I know you're a big girl... I want you to go there with our body guard... just in case... I don't want you to go just by yourself..." I said while sniffling and Tashi nodded softly. She kissed my cheek then ran upstairs to get changed. A few minutes later she came downstairs and said bye to me.

She then left with our body guard to Starbucks.
