Could it be the end or a new beginning? pt 1

It had been a few days since Jennifer and Alex last talked... They were away from each other for a few days. Jennifer was at her house in the Hamptons, spending time with Leah and her mother. Alex was in Miami with the kids. This only occurred because Jennifer insisted on spending time for herself...

During this time, it left Alex confused and speechless. He felt as if he was losing his fiance. Or if he even had a fiance anymore since the way Jen has been acting lately.. It was a switch all of a sudden... even the kids could sense something was going on. Normally, Jen and Alex always try to hide their issues from the kids... But this time... it was obvious something was going on. the kids had been questioning Alex about it... but even he didn't know how to answer their questions correctly...

Jennifer's P.O.V.

I had just woken up and saw a bunch of messages from my team, there were screenshots of headlines claiming that Ben and I are together... I looked closely at the photo and sighed in relief because it wasn't a photo from last summer. Thank God.

Leah and her mother walked into my room with two huge bouquets of flowers.

"Oh my goodness darling, this just came in! Lee and I didn't want to read the card... But here.." Vicki handed me the card.

I took it and thanked her. I read the note.

My dearest Jennifer... I miss you. Come back to me. I love you forever and Ever. More than you could ever imagine. xo Ben.

I read it out loud and Leah was reading along with me but wasn't looking at the card.

"Wait, did you read the card?" I laughed.

"Yes... The envelope was thin." Leah laughed.

"Wait... So do you and Ben have something going on..?" Vicki was confused.

"No of course not... Well I thought we could of but I decided not to... But I got this flashback of last summer..." I smiled softly and bit my lip.

"This nasty whore told me about it." Leah laughed and Vicki gasped, already knowing what happened but she pretended to not know what happened.

"So are we gonna go back to LA..? or are you gonna stay here for a few more days...?" Leah sat beside me.

"I think so... I was thinking about it... And I can't be with Ben... I know Alex and I have our past.. But Leah... I just love him too much to ever leave and our kids are just amazing together."

"But you had that one night with Ben... that didn't mean anything to you..? I mean change is good..."

"Lee. Jen doesn't want to leave obviously. She cares too much for Alex. Ben was just a one-night stand. I mean everyone does it at one point to make sure they want to be with that person or not."

"I mean... She is right Lee. Thinking of it now and also realizing that I just needed that one night... says a lot.. And It definitely cleared my mind now because I always doubted my relationship with Alex... after what happened. But he has made up for it because he has changed and he even proposed a while back. This also says a lot about his character... When Ben proposed, it was all so sudden and we were very young. We rushed it and I don't think he even wanted to marry me for me... Alex always has wanted to marry me because he loves me for me... And not for my body like Ben does..."

"So I take it as we are going to Miami." Leah laughed softly.

"I guess so. Yes." I smiled and Leah placed her hand over mine.

"I still think Ben is better..." She giggled.

"You're so annoying." I laughed.

We got up and went to go get ready.

Once we got ready, the girls and I packed our things and headed to the airport.

"So do you want us to go to Miami or go back home..?"

"It's up to you and your mom. I don't mind having you guys over."

"Well, I think we should head back to LA because my husband misses me and I think you need some time for you and your family."

"Yes. George misses me as well and I need to get back to the restaurant."

"Okay, that's perfectly fine. I understand, you guys have lives as well. I truly appreciate you both coming and spending time with me. I love you both so much."

"Anything for you sweetheart." Vicki smiled and kissed my forehead.

"I will always be here for you baby. You know that." Leah kissed my cheek and smiled.

We arrived at the airport and got out. Leah and her mom were waiting for me.

I got out and sighed softly. Both of the private jets were nearby each other. waiting for us to board.

"Thank you again for coming. I will miss you both so much. Text me when you landed. Okay?" I hugged them both tightly.

"Okay baby. I love you so so much." Leah smiled.

"We will always be here whenever you need anything. If you're ever in town, come by the restaurant sweetie." Vicki smiled and gave me one last hug.

"Of course I will!" I smiled. We waved to each other then left to our jets and got in.

I sat down and started to tear up. I realized how mean I was to Alex... I just hope he is doing okay... I miss him... I do.. I shouldn't have had doubted our relationship and wanted to be with Ben. I can't even believe I thought of the idea of being with him... What's wrong with me..?

I looked down and sighed. The door closed and the Jet took off to Miami. I slept the whole flight.
